I had a PS3 a few months after it came out. Excellent gaming system, what you would expect from Sony. Also, you can watch Blue Ray DVD's on it so its a pretty good deal. I don't know how much more they can drop it with the Blue Ray aspect.

I really enjoy my PS3 but about a month ago i went to turn it on and it just froze up! I tried it on several different tv's and I had the same problem! Luckily I have a 2 year service warranty so I can send it in to be fixed. Although I've questioned wheter I want too and basically have it refurbished and break in the future or just go out and buy a new one? Any suggestions?

My parents told me to wait because the reviews are very bad....therefore I have to wait.

Both of my sons have one, the oldest the ex-girlfriend bought as a birthday present, the youngest I bought, this was when they were $600.00. They both still love theirs.

Just out of no where it started freezing up when you first turned it! It had worked perfectly the night before and it had never been dropped and had always sat on the gaming consule so it wasnt bothered. Dont know what the problem could be but it defintley has me out of whack and frustrated:madman:

Were you flipping the switch on the back to turn it on and off? I've heard thats bad for it and you should just use a controller to turn it on and off all the time.

That is normally how I would turn it off, but ive been doing it for over a year so Im not real sure. If that would be the cause it doesnt sound like their made to handle much :irked:

This is the first time I have ever had any problems with any gaming system. But Im just worrid that if I send this off to be fixed(refurbished) it will never be the same and I will run into another problem down the road. Where do you buy your ps3 from? I recieved mine from wal mart but my room mate works at best buy and he says their policy with the warrantys is if you have a problem you bring it in and walk out with a brand new one so theres no waiting that you would have shipping it in, waiting for them to repair and send back
