Roads here in Grant County are horrible. Route 467 toward Pendleton County is a mess. Numerous cars & trucks are off in ravines & ditches. Some piled up in bunches! No one can get in, no one can get out including emergency vehicles because so many cars are blocking the road. My neighbor has been sitting in his car in someone's front yard for 3 hours now, unable to get home. In an attempt to save the day for our daughter (in his mind valiant, in my mind, not so bright) my husband decided we needed to get to town about 6pm to get her basketball gear to her for a big basketball game. My Dodge Ram 4x4 is now teetering over a ravine on the side of the road about a 1/4 mile from here. We were the 6th vehicle in that same spot, all of us in a row hanging over the edge. No one hurt, it was all the really slow motion kind of slide.

Not today, but maybe a few days down the road, I believe an "I told you so" will be forthcoming.

A Delta MD-88 just slid off a taxi-way at CVG. No injuries reported.

Glad there were no injuries. That's right by our house. Glad we are all in tonight staying warm. It sounds nuts out there.

I am so glad you are all ok. So scary.

My brother went from Florence to Independence ok about an hour ago. I am headed to the gym now which is a mile from my house. Will update when i'm back.

Left Newport around 3pm to go to the Florence Mall and it took a while to get out there because of wrecks on 275 west near the Wilder exit. Then once in Florence it was very crowded and slow moving. Left around 7pm to head back to Newport and it was slick but only took about an hour to get home.

I know in Blue Ash, OH they are pretty bad. The wife to be said they were "horrendous" in Independence.

Your wife was not lying. I was going to head to Florence, but people are just STUPID. Pulling out in front of people, and tailing people like either of them have brakes or traction. The roads are driveable, but there are too many IDIOTS out that don't know how to drive in these conditions. I came home, I'll take care of my stuff tomorrow.

Really bad, backed out of my driveway onto our street which is a pretty steep hill. Went to put it in drive and started sliding sideways down the hill. Luckily tires caught the edge of the curb and stopped my vehicle. I was able to straighten out and ease down the hill in reverse. Got a running start from the flat part at the bottom and made it up, but was a challenge. I have brand new tires and they helped.

Now the freezing rain is supposed to last until 2 A.M.

I can only imagine the chaos in the morning lol,

I havent really left the house today but once. I drove through Ft. Thomas to Southgate and back and no real problems. My driveway is not good as i almost fell on my butt getting the mail this evening.

Scrolling across Channel 5 they are saying that state police are urging motorist to stay off interstates and that I 75 is verrrrrry slow from Union to Scott Co. YIKES.....would hate to be in that traffic.

Here in Walton (Hwy 16) there are about 10-12 cars lined up and not able to go anywhere. My dad and I walked up and down the road handing out hot chocolate and coffee. They have been there since about 5pm. Some with children still in there car. I have never witnessed anything like this. It's impossible to walk on the road.

Really the roads should be fine by morning. The temps have been raising all day long which is why we've had only rain. Alot of the freezing is because of the fact that we had some EXTREMELY cold weather over the last few days which made the ground temps very low, and they don't increase nearly as quickly as the air temps, but it's happening. It'll be in the 40's by morning and really should be ok out.

Forecast says 60 tomorrow. 34 on Christmas and 59 on Friday. Saturday it is supposed to be 64 degrees. CRAZY
