Matt Ryan...hands down.

Others have had good seasons, but it has to be him. I would add Steve Slayton to the list as well. But, definitely Matt Ryan.

Chris Johnson / RB / Titans ?

Chris Johnson, Matt Ryan & Joe Flacco are the top 3 rookies in the NFL.

Chris Johnson has given the Titans an explosive weapon and Tenn. has had the best record in the NFL for the majority of the year. He deserves a lot of consideration.

Matt Ryan is getting a lot of attention, but I think a big part of the votes he's getting is sympathetic votes. Nobody respects Michael Vick anymore, and it's great to see the guy who stepped in for Vick do great things.

Joe Flacco has been solid all year. The Ravens have been playing very good football lately, and they'll be a tough out in the playoffs. Flacco has a very strong arm and has done a great job of managing games for the Ravens.

You can't go wrong with Johnson or Ryan. Flacco is close, and Forte is just behind Flacco IMO. If the Bears were to make the playoffs, then Forte's chances of winning ROY could increase dramatically.

I'm thinking that Matt Forte will get serious consideration for the award. He gets my vote.

1. Ryan

2. C.Johnson

3. Flacco

4. Slaton

5. Forte

I can't see Flacco being a real consideration. He's been serviceable, but really hasn't been asked to do much more than make sure the Ravens' offense doesn't prevent their defense from winning games. He's only thrown for more than 200 yards in 4 games this year, not had a single game of 300 yards, has only thrown 14 TD's, and has a QB rating of 78. Not horrible by any stretch, but not even remotely close to Rookie of the Year level.

Both Chris Johnson and Matt Forte have ROY-worthy stats and I think one of them will win it, but I'd give it to Ryan because so little was expected out of the Falcons this year and he was such a huge reason for their success.

Honestly, you make some good points as far as Flacco. As far as the RB's though, I give the nod to Johnson and Slaton.

Yeah, Slaton's numbers are absolutely right there with both Johnson and Forte. Plus, the guy helped out my fantasy teams immensely this year! ;) His numbers would have been even better had he not given up some carries to Ahman Green earlier in the season. Of course, the same can also be said for Johnson, as Lendale White scored 15 TD's this year. From a pure statistical standpoint, one of the 3 RB's is probably more deserving than Ryan, but being the leader of a team that was expected to be a league laughingstock will earn Ryan some big voter points.

Matt Ryan has got to be the top choice, followed by Chris Johnson and Joe Flacco
