Kentucky 93 Appalachian St. 69

I always get upset at questions that have foul intentions. That being said, he was left in with 3 minutes remaining so that he could be brought out individually to a much deserved standing ovation. Nothing more, nothing less. I was the right thing to do rather than bringing him out with the other four players so that he could get his own round of applause.

No foul intentions. He deserved an individual recognition. IMO it should have happened earlier.

labs has a fascination with opponents attendance numbers. When it's UK fans not showing up, there is always an excuse. Pretty funny stuff...

Fascinated. No just dumbfounded at lack of support. No way to spin it. The crowd at the games at USBank was flat out embarrassing. I did have a caveat...asking about prices...even threw in the crowds in Nashville were not real good either.

UC fans have not been supporting the basketball product at UC. I don't understand why? Pretty decent team that works hard...but they are darn near 50% capacity.

UK in Louisville is dead...need to kill the series of games there.

By in large attendance is down in various places.

UK has been down 2k to 4k in certain games.

Heck even UNC with their team has been down 2k to 3k except for big games.

2. Jodie Meeks, Jr., Kentucky: The Wildcats had one game last week, and Meeks made the most of his opportunity. He lit up Freedom Hall and Appalachian State with 46 points, making nine 3s and shooting 9-of-10 from the line and 14-of-21 from the field. He also had four steals. The Wildcats have their big-time scorer now in Meeks. If Patrick Patterson can provide the necessary balance inside and the Wildcats find consistency at point guard (Michael Porter had one turnover in 20 minutes, but DeAndre Liggins had four in 21 minutes) then the Wildcats should do just fine in the SEC yet again.

-Andy Katz's on his players of the week

It has nothing to with the fanbase, its still there. Freedom Hall sucks, and its MUCH easier to stay at home and watch the Cats put a whooping on a lowly team from Boone then to go out on the weekend before Christmas and set in that sorry excuse for an arena.
That's silly. Freedom Hall is a MUCH better place to watch a game than Rupp.

I really hope that this is being said with sarcasm lol.

What happened to the fan base in Louisville? Freedom Hall used to sell out for UK games, and it was seen as throwing a bone to what is thought to be a large fan base in the states largest city. UK isn't any longer relevant in the Ville? Really???

Sure UK still sells out at Freedom Hall for games against Louisville, or Indiana; but not against Appy State, the Saturday before Christmas. Come on GT, that's weak.

UK sells out Louisville for the LOUISVILLE game? Really? Guess it's not the UL fans...
