December 21, 200817 yr The financial state of UC athletics is important to me, as it clearly is to the fan base as well. I'm getting in for free via a media pass, and still bought a ticket at $125 to do my part... I'll buy that extra ticket for $1.

December 22, 200817 yr Isn't this kinda what the NCAA and the BCS deserve? The National Championship is more mythical now then it ever was before the BCS. We don't really establish anything with it. All 1 loss teams and Utah deserve a chance to play for the title. I really like Cincinnati (mainly cause of Coach Kelly and Gutza) but they really aren't BCS material. And VT is even less. They are probably about the 3rd or 4th best team in the ACC. Georgia Tech is much better. Actually they are much more consistent which isn't saying much in the ACC this year. However V Tech spanked them in their meeting this year. So to blanketly say they are much better than Tech is tough to defend. They are all not too good. :thumb:

December 23, 200817 yr Nope. UC will be on the hook for roughly 3,000 tickets at $125 per when sales close on the 23rd. That will be easily covered by a booster and all is good. They also have all of the money raised to fund the new practice fields and indoor facility, and broke ground this morning... This is all very good news.:thumb::banana:

December 23, 200817 yr Sounds like bad times for the Orange Bowl... I don't think it's just the Orange Bowl. Last I heard, OSU had not sold their allotment as well. I have not seen it in print, but it has been on the radio for the last week that all of the BCS games (besides the championship) has struggled this year in selling tickets.
