December 17, 200817 yr As the announcers said, "Wayne Chism finally figured out he was 6'9." He scores 5 in the first half and 21 in the 2nd half. Marquetts guards can play, it took a half time adjustment for UT to figure ithem out. Edited December 17, 200817 yr by HITMAN97
December 17, 200817 yr I like both of these teams to make giant strides throughout this season. Both are very capable of playing into the 2nd week of the tourny
December 17, 200817 yr So far its SEC 2 - Big East 0. Is the Big East really good? We've been told they're great, but that looks to not be the case.
December 17, 200817 yr Actually SEC is 3-0 against Big East if you want to count UK's win over West Virginia out in Vegas
December 17, 200817 yr Is the Big East really good? We've been told they're great, but that looks to not be the case. It is not as if they have putting the top Big East schools on display. South Florida is horrible. Marquette is at best the 5th best Big East school and UT is arguably the SEC's best... and I do not think they are very good.

The SEC isn't any good either, but the Big East has some not so great losses this year. Clevleland State and Western Kentucky off the top of my head. Although Ohio State isn't bad they did beat ND in Indy. UConn was taken to the wire by Buffalo. West Virginia was beaten by an average UK team. Georgetown beat Memphis in OT at home. Is that the biggest win for the conference? They also beat Maryland, but were beaten by double digits by Tennessee which has two double digit wins against top 25 BE programs.
December 17, 200817 yr No doubt the BE has shown some chinks in the armor over the last 10 days or so. Still by far the best conference this year, but not close to the "best ever" tag that has been thrown around...

December 17, 200817 yr Is the Big East really good? We've been told they're great, but that looks to not be the case. A middle of the pack Big East team just lost to the best team in the SEC and Vandy beat arguably the worst team in the conference. Wait until the games in Cincy tomorrow when UC and Louisville run all over the two schools from Mississippi. This invitational is pointless as the matchups give no indication of the perspective conferences. The Marquette-Tennessee game was the only useful matchup.
December 17, 200817 yr Georgetown beat Memphis in OT at home. Is that the biggest win for the conference? Notre Dame over Texas in Maui, I would think.
December 17, 200817 yr Actually SEC is 3-0 against Big East if you want to count UK's win over West Virginia out in Vegas Tennessee defeated Georgetown in the Old Spice Classic. So can we call it 4-0?
