There is a huge difference in something that is legally right and something morally right.

 

If ANY team knows that they can look over to the other sideline and it will help them, they ALL would do it! Some times teams have VERY simple signals and never change anything up. Can't tell me that if it's a close game towards the end of a game, or a team is down that they wouldn't look at the signals (if they figured them out) if they can use it.

 

Doesn't matter if you get the signal or not, you STILL HAVE TO STOP THEM. :thumb:

Irregardless of whether it works or not, I just don't believe there's anything here to "read into" about the comments. It was an observation and not an accusation of impropriety.

 

As to the game. Beechwood's power will wear Hazard down even more in the 2nd half. If Hazard could have scored or kept it at 7-0 then that would have been interesting but it sounds like Beechwood is just too strong and talented.

Yes it is.

Beechwood has dominated this game thusfar... that two TD deficit could be critical. Had Hazard held on and kept it 7-0 then anythign could happen...but thusfar they have been hanging on by a thread against a simply better team.

Wonder how many Hazard fans are home instead of being at the game because of the snow? I know they said the band and pep buses did not make it, but I am guessing most just drove up instead?

Does not mean it is the right thing to do. I am sure if I were the Coach I would do the same thing,but in a perfect world a coach would win a agame with his coaching of his team and their own preperation, not from taking the "easy" way out.

I agree. I think people are reading way too much into an observation made by an announcer.

 

He was simply stating a fact. Beechwood was waiting until Hazard had called its play before they called their defense.

 

Its just as possible that Beechwood was looking at personnel, or trying to get a guess at how Hazard might line up before calling their play.

I don't make a habit of posting. I just like to read what others have to say. But I will say this on the topic of announcers. It doesn't matter if it is a television broadcast or radio broadcast run by the KHSAA, it always seems like the color man is routing against Norhtern Kentucky teams. I could be wrong but there always seems to be a slant.

"EASY"? Nothing easy about it at all. Beechwood is probably one of the most prepared teams you will ever see play.

Ernst wrote on his blog that Hazard has run 20 plays for 8 yards. Yikes!!! That's getting destroyed on the lines.

They said Hazard had 6" of snow this morning. Plus ice in EKY area.
