I don't think they are the best team in NKY. Highlands obviously is, and I'd say Newcath probably would still beat them in a rematch. But I don't know that Beechwood would beat them to be honest.

 

I understand exactly what you mean, but I dunno. It'll never happen so it doesn't matter. If I didn't have some good friends that had graduated from NewCath, I may not care as much, but I do, and yea, lol.

I don't think NKY wants to decide who is best up here. We all played each other to get better for this weekend.

We want to prove we are the best in the state!! If we had a 3a team and a 4a team we would compete there also.

No way they are the best. They are enjoying a fantastic run and should take advantage of the experience this week in playing for the crown against a legendary football program.

Highlands is still the best team in NKY but SK has made a memorable season that will last a lifetime.

I'm pulling for all the 4 N.Ky schools and at this point don't care which team is the best in N. Ky. Right now all I care about is finding out which teams are the best in A, AA, AAAAA and AAAAAA. Go Birds, Tigers, Breds and Pioneers!

I agree with this post. Sk's playoff run reminds me of the Steelers most recent Super Bowl run. The Steelers absolutely were not the best team in the NFL that year but they somehow kept putting together games and won it all. SK has done the same thing. I don't think they would be favored to win against any of the other 3 N. Ky. teams in title games but SK hasn't been the favorite in a game in about 2 months and they keep winning. That's why they play the games.

 

I never wanted to admit it, but I thought the same thing.

BGP has a ton of NKY posters and during playoff time most are going to pull for the locals. I just think all of the SK and NKY fans are pulling for them, nothing more.

 

Absolutely right! I believe NKY posters are pulling more than normal for SK because of how big an underdog they are. Similar to a couple years back with Ryle. A win would be historic!
