Great to see McNabb beat the Giants. 3 things that come out of this game that I haven't seen much about:

1. B. Westbrook became the all time yds leader from scrimmage for the Eagles. When healthy (that's a big when) he is as dangerous as there is lined up everywhere. If he stayed healthy I wonder if he could sniff the Hall.

2. Plax out did hurt today. They Giants don't have that true number one which will change the looks Eli is used to seeing. Defenses now have the ability to disguise a lot more than in the past which will make it interesting to see how Eli reacts.

3. Jacobs went down with a banged up knee. They are a different team without him IMO. They have two really good backs behind him but think about tackling 260ish behind that great line! That also should effect what Eli sees if he is out for any significant time.

Congrats too the G-Men for the confrence championship. I would love to see things play out with them and Dallas in the reverse of what happened last year:)

The Giants didn't win the conference title. They won the division title.

He's one of the best backs in the league today and has been one of the best pure football players in the league since he's been in the NFL.

 

I haven't looked at his stats, but I'd tend to agree with you initially.

And you can not prove that.

 

The Giants have 3 wins without Plax over Seattle, Arizona, and Washington. They have proven they can win without him. The reason they lost is because Philly played better today.

The road to the SB doesn't go through them. The Giants will have to beat some good teams w/o Plax for me to believe they will.

Philly played this game extremely well. They were able to run the ball effectively and keep NY off the field. Philly was converting like crazy on third down. I am still convinved that when Westbrook is healthy, Philly is a top 3 team in the NFC.

Philly also had 10 days to get ready for this game.

Whether Plax played or not made a difference, I assure you Philly was happy he was not playing. He has been a nightmare for Philly in the past.

I have this theory that where Plax's absence hurts worse now is in game preparation. Now teams know beyond a shadow of a doubt that Burress ain't gonna be out there...that has to make game planning for the Giants much easier.

 

They can win without him, but I really think his absence jeopardizes the Giants playoff run more than some people think.
