December 7, 200817 yr I thought the Eagles might win, but you never know which McNabb is going to show up.
December 7, 200817 yr The Giants played awful today. Hixon dropped a wide open bomb for a TD, Smith dropped a 1st down catch...there were many other mistakes. Not to mention Jacobs had to go out with an injury. It's tough to win every game in your division. The Giants are still 11-2, that still isn't too bad.
December 7, 200817 yr Author I know this was a tough game and its always a fight but don't you think Plax is having some kind of effect on the team?
December 7, 200817 yr I know this was a tough game and its always a fight but don't you think Plax is having some kind of effect on the team? Not really, no. They are a mentally tough team. They have lost players before...other than the fact that he might have not dropped a few of those passes that other WR's dropped, I think the Giants just played bad. It was windy, I think their game plan was questionable at times, but that had nothing to do with Plax. Dropping wide open touchdowns had nothing to do with Plax. Jacobs getting hurt had nothing to do with Plax.
December 7, 200817 yr I know this was a tough game and its always a fight but don't you think Plax is having some kind of effect on the team? They have shown they can win without Plaxico. Look how they adjusted to losing Strahan and Umeniyora.
December 7, 200817 yr Author They have shown they can win without Plaxico. Look how they adjusted to losing Strahan and Umeniyora. Like today?
December 7, 200817 yr Like today? You expect them to finish the season 15-1? If I told you the Giants would lose Strahan, Osi, and Shockey before the season, but they would still be 11-2 after 13 games, you would have told me that I was crazy. If the Cowboys lose tonight, the Giants are the NFC East champions. Not very many teams can win them all...not even last years Patriots. It's better (IMO) to lose them now, than in the playoffs. The Eagles were better today. The Giants have lost once this season before today and they bounced back from that...I expect nothing less this time.
December 7, 200817 yr I know this was a tough game and its always a fight but don't you think Plax is having some kind of effect on the team? I agree I think it has some effect on the team. It is a distraction like it or not...
December 7, 200817 yr Author That stellar offense they had all season is sudden held to 7 points today. He has an effect on that team one way or another.
December 7, 200817 yr This game is exhibit A as to why the GMen cannot win it all without Plaxico. The passing game looked terrible today. No way anyone can say with a straight face that this team isn't going to miss Plax.

I know you're a big fan and all but it's huge that Burress won't be around to draw the double team. It's also big that their 6 5 target is gone for red zone situations. They are still good, and may win it all but IMO they are a lot closer to the pack than they were before he shot himself.
