Football season too long!

Featured Replies

Do you have any proof of, or reason to believe this whatsoever?

Probably not. Usually statements like that come from UK fans who just hate the idea of going to Louisville for any reason, as though going to Louisville is somehow on par with supporting UofL.

They are only in the state semi's in football this week in Texas. Tell them that football season is too long.

Do you think it might be a little nicer weather in December in Texas?

What does cutting the number of teams in the basketball playoffs have to do with anything? Actually, the number has probably been cut in half since the 1940s. Basketball always ends the week before baseball starts, which is when football should end. I'm sure the casual fan would rather not deal with the kind of weather we can have in December. You almost never had to worry about the weather in relation to the football playoffs until recently.

No one suggest cutting football. It just should return to the way it always was.

Actually, 100% of the teams make the postseason in basketball. Was it 200% in the 1940s?

WOW Jim you must be my wife, knowing my reasons and beliefs. But then again if all the UK fans who hate going to Louisville went to the games in Lexington it would increase attendance.

IMO the games in Lexington would increase attendance from EKY, central Ky and southern Ky. Without decreasing people from Nky and Wky from attending. I also think Lexington would do a better job advertising and the Lexington and Hazard TV stations promo's would help attendance.

In the last 28 years I have been 23 times to the finals. So, I dont really hate going to Louisville. As far as supporting UofL..guess your right. Don't like them, never have liked them and doubt if I ever will.:D:walk:

You said number, not percent.

Bashing basketball doesn't help the football argument.

I take back what I said earlier. I want more Highlands Football !!!!
