Stay focused for just one more game 'Birds!

 

Make all your effort and hard work for the past year really count this week in practice and this Friday night in Louisville!

My head tells me that Highlands is the best team and obviously the favorite to win, but my heart has to cheer for Christian County, who almost nobody thought would make it to the finals. A lot of people are picking Highlands in a blowout, but I wouldn't under estimate CCs ability too much or they might just sneak up on you.

Who was on the 4 x 100 relay team last year or the year before at state? I'm confident that Head was on there, maybe Bardo as well. Who is the 4th DB I'm forgetting?

 

I think the last 2 games have shown how important the loss of Roller at LB is to a Defense that played extremely well at the end of the season. Offense has really picked up the slack, but both JC and Whitley moved the ball effectively if only briefly. That said, the DBs made many tackles preventing long gains from being breakaway TDs.

 

I suspect film will convince CC coaches that testing the HHS secondary may not be the primary attack plan.

 

Bardo and Collinsworth were the only sophomores on the 4x100 the other two Cecil and Thies were seniors. I'm not to worried about our slow DB's hopefully they can hang with the speed of CC.

I've only seen 3 predictions of a blowout. After Bryan Station I don't think the Birds will underestimate any opponent. Particularly one that's made the championship game with only one loss.

I will be very surprised if this is a blowout. I think it will be a competetive game where the Birds and their quick scoring capabilities wins out.

 

I am hoping for a 2 TD win for the Birds. Heck I will take a 1 pt win for that matter.

I agree I would take a 1 point victory as well. I just know how much winning State means to the Birds player. They want to be a part of history. That's not taking anything away from Christian County I just think HHS is dominate this year.
