Just goes to show you can't be thinking about scores from past games or scores by similar opponents going in to the game. Most of the playoffs when LCA was playing a mountain team the fans were comparing scores and predicting LCA blowouts, guess that thinking got in the players heads and it bit them tonight.

Congrats to Hazard! Bring a state title back to the mountains!

Home field advantage strikes again in this series; there must be something about that busride between Hazard and Reynolds Road...

Congrats to Hazard on the win!!

I missed the prediction on this one by a mile.

Looks like I'll have fresh crow for breakfast.

I missed it by a couple of miles myself, I have had the taste of crow dinner on many previos occasions. So much so I have developed quite a taste for it.

Great job Hazard

Congrats to Hazard. Im happy for your program but I would have lost money on this one. Its another example of why they play the games. Now get after Beechwood and bring a title back to the mountains!

Big suprise....congrats to Hazard and best of luck!

Congrats Hazard and I hope you bring one back to the mountains!

Look LCA thought they do the same walk as the first time {49-7} and maybe look past Hazard and got beat. LCA is still a young team and will be back in the title game, if not win it all next year.

They thought that this year too.

Lca had some problems executing tonight. Overlooking Hazard was not the issue. It is possible to lose a game without overlooking someone.

Awesome that is all I have to say. No overlooking nor getting beat up from last weeks game. It was just good old Hazard football. Seems like Hazard beat up on LCA this weekend but great year for LCA also. The better team won. It has nothing to do with past games, tonight is the night that counted. Great win. I hope I can make it down to Papa John's Stadium.

The good guys won this one. LCA has more players than Corbin and should not be in Class A football. Go Hazard ! ! !

Good guys?

More players?

What does the numbers of players have to do with this? The student enrollment decides the class by KHSAA guidelines. What if they do have a lot of players? Bechwood normally has a lot of players, if my memory serves me right, but a smaller enrollment than many 1A teams. Are you saying we should go by male population in the school to decide class size?

Anyone know what the male population of LCA is compared to that of Hazard HS?

Does getting kids to come out and play football somehow make a school the "bad guys"? Hazard had more kids playing than we did when we played them near the end of the season, so did we lose to the "bad guys" on that night, or to a team that just happened to be able to put more kids on the team?

Most of us 1A's wish we could get more of our kids to play ball.....

I could follow your logic (a little) on this one if the argument was that they had too large of an enrollment, but not just because they have more players than another 1A. We (Lynn Camp) have a larger enrollment than W'burg, but they have more kids on the football roster.

Congrats to Hazard on a great win! Also, congrats to LCA on a great season. See you in Lexington in about 9 months.

They do go by male enrollment.
