First of all, I want to say congratulations to the Rockets. A class act all the way. You played with such great heart and never gave up. You have a lot of talent coming back next year and the things may be different, but we will be looking forward to the possibility of playing you.

 

The fans from CC were awesome! What a great turnout and such nice people.

 

Rocket...........I was looking for you. Met a few nice people trying to meet you, but they were not familiar with your BGP name. A few girls gave me the nasty eye, but I expected that....

Congrats to Beechwood and CC alike. Any stats on the game went and summary from the game?

 

Similar to last week versus Frankfort, Beechwood was able to win this game at the line of scrimmage. They put Teipel to work behind the line and played smash mouth football. Rigdon made some good throws on a couple of 3rd and longs to keep drives alive. Teipel's stats were around 28 carries, 180 yards and 4 TD's. Beechwood's defense was dominate as usual. Honestly, I am not sure if CC went much over 100 yards for the game as a team. Beechwood played their JV from about 3 minutes to go in the 3rd quarter till the end. That is the story in a nutshell.

:laugh: Honestly, less than 5 people even know that I post on here, a few may suspect it , but I haven't lived in Crittenden County in 8 years and half the time when I go to games I don't recognize anyone but people around my age and guys I played ball with. But I was there, freezing to death.

 

I'm proud of our guys though. As anyone from up there could see, we are a small town football team. We don't dress many guys and it's pretty much iron man football. The good thing is, we only lose 3 players to graduation, 5,28 and 80 I believe. Bad news is 5, and 28 are horses, but from what I understand 14 will be moved from QB to TB next year and 3 will be the QB. I also believe that the 8th graders coming in have never lost a game on any level as a group and I heard 2 of them should either start or get major PT from day one. I'm confident we'll see Beechwood again and hopefully it's next year so YA'LL can come on down to WKY:thumb: Hopefully with this years success and so much potential for next year, maybe we can get some more kids out that are roaming the halls that should be on the team.

 

Great game by the Tigers, 44 runs hard and has great balance when he get's hit, rarely did he go down on the first or second hit, his only bad play was that pointless block in the back when the QB broke that 99 yard TD run. Your alls line play was very impressive and we were clearly overpowered, but there were flashes of how good the Rockets have played this year and were able to get after em' but your alls size and depth and team speed were a little much for us. I like to think had JD not gotten hurt so early in the game we could have put a score or 2 on the board and it hurt us not having him roaming in the secondary, hopefully it's nothing serious. .. I can't see Hazard beating Beechwood. Good Job Tigers and Good luck next week!

Congratulations to the Rockets on a fine season. What a wonderful display of support from your fans. I was on the opposite hillside looking into the stands-What a sea of Blue, then our Red!

Good take on the game. Let us know how #14 is. Hopefully he is ok but it causes me to worry when they called over our team Dr. (very good Dr. by the way, also team Dr. for the Bengals and UC, father to our #35 and #9).

 

I thought the Rockets showed a lot of heart. Your skilled guys definitely showed talent. I like the way #28 runs. Tough guy to bring down. #5 and #14 both looked like playmakers. Against a team with less speed, a couple of their runs would have been long ones. I can see how Crittenden County got to the semis for sure. You guys need to get a couple of those big guys standing on the sideline into the weight room and running. Get those guys up front on the line and you have something. It sounds like you have momentum in the program with that 8th grade class so we hope to see you in the coming years - because that means good things for both our programs.:thumb:
