December 1, 200817 yr I just think it really depends...Sure you could say a team is required to have 7 wins. But what if you had a team that had six losses to teams all in the Top 10. Would they deserve a bowl? Of course.
December 1, 200817 yr I respectfully disagree. While I laugh at the Phulahan (sp)Weed Eater Bowl... I can't get enough of bowl season:)

December 1, 200817 yr Can't really argue except to say UK seems to be a preference of bowl committees because the fans travel so well. Although, this year, the fact that they just aren't very fun to watch may overshadow selecting them due to fan support. With the country in the shape it is in right now, only helps Kentucky because of their fan support. Memphis would love to see a sea of Blue come to town and spend thousands of dollars. Money makes the world go round and puts Kentucky in a bowl this year. IMO.... I do not think they deserve to go bowling this year.
December 1, 200817 yr I agree with Rebel. I stated this in another thread....Who have they beaten that is also going bowling. But because of the fact they need teams they will go I guess. There are teams who are not going bowling they have lost to.

There are teams who are not going bowling they have lost to. They survived an SEC season at 6-6, which is more than Tennessee, Auburn, Arkansas, and Mississippi State can say :thumb: They also took their beat down against Florida (like everyone else since the Ole Miss game has - or will soon) :thumb:
December 1, 200817 yr Look at the out of Conference teams and who have they beaten?   But you are right about one thing Money talks for the Cats...

December 2, 200817 yr If they keep adding Bowl games every year, they will have to start picking teams with 5-7 records.
December 2, 200817 yr It's all about $$$$$$$$$$$! I agree. It is a shame that we are going to a bowl game the way we played against TN.

December 2, 200817 yr We are talking last year? How about this year? Also I need four seats at Commonwealth next year. We lose one player on Defense.
December 2, 200817 yr Gotta agree with wireman, Larry. Florida's waiting for the Tide, and I think they take their lump from the Gators just like the rest of us. Bad as you seem to think we are, we took 'Bama to the brink with a really bad offense! Knock the schedule all you want, but they won what the rules say they had to to be eligible.
December 2, 200817 yr Daddy, I have no problem with you or anyone picking the Gators. The season they have had, Tim Tebow for crying out loud, I'm scared and can't sleep. Thats why I joined this board. Thats why I played/watched/coaches/refed/umpired for 50 years. To talk football with others But when I'm laughed at when I made my picks and now I see my coach with moneybags on here, which I would never do. I just felt the Cats are having problems with their offense and injuries and well...thats OK. Its just a game that I love and have no control of the outcome. Coach Saban gave 1 million dollars for schlorships to the state of Alabama not just his school. Gave 300k for the public schools and parks. This will be given every year he is the Head Coach at Bama. Glad my friend reminded me of that fact. Bama grossed 32 million in football revenue in 07 alone. We are 12-0
