If You Could Go Back In Time And Change......

I was offered a job playing right field with the Chillicothe Paint Horses semipro baseball club out of college. I declined in order to go to law school. I wake up and kick myself every day over that decision.

That's awesome about the baseball thing. I never knew you were a baseball player. Just think of it this way; you chose to hit your homeruns in the courtroom instead of on the ball diamond.:thumb:

In all honesty, the movies "Field of Dreams" (my favorite movie btw) and Frequency are what inspired me to bring this thread idea back around. If I could change just one thing, I would have had that one catch (metaphorically speaking) with my dad before he passed away.

I would have played football in high school.

I would have told my soccer coach I played goalie at the beginning of the year so I could have had the starting job right out of the gate.

I wish I could go back to the summer of 1970 and stop my father from working on a car that eventually jump and pinned him against a wall. He never fully recovered from this accident.

I would have finished college but instead went into the job force. But, now I make more money than most people out of college. The economy has not hurt me one bit.

What type of job?

If coach would have put me at qb back in 84 I know we could have won state.

I would have gave my grandfather a big hug before he went into surgery instead of crying on my dad. That was the last time I saw him as he later died after surgery. RIP

There are many things that I'd like to go back and change. The problem with that is if I change something bad from the past, do I lose the good in my past also?

We've had threads on this topic before, BUT if you could travel back in time and change one thing you did or didn't do (but wish you had) years ago, what would it be?

Wouldn't have broken up with the girl I dated my senior year. Great girl, really pretty, and probably the sweetest girl I've ever met. I was an idiot senior though that thought that I should be available for all of the other girls to enjoy as well, totally cocky and stupid.

Needless to say she asked me about a guy I'd known growin up, said he asked her out, me being dumb well I said go for it if you think you like him, he was totally opposite of her, liked to party and what not, stuff that she didn't agree with, so I knew it wouldn't work out, and it would just buy me time to get my situation straightened out. Needless to say, she turned him around, he got baptised in her church after a few months of them dating, now they're married and just had a child recently. I really fouled that one up.

Never quit playing baseball in HS, and marry the girl I dated for 3 years in college

I also would have worked harder my junior year and tried to get A's and B's instead of B's and C's.

Despite having found the new girl???

Oh yea, I would've actually cared in high school, I think.
