Nice game. Hard fought.

Great Defensive showing by the Cards who seemed to have their backs to the wall all night

Here's a class 1A tip for everyone...ALWAYS, ALWAYS pick Mayfield to make the state semifinals!:thumb:

Outstanding win for Mayfield! Big bus trip and big win. Sets up the big rematch with the Rockets. Glad to see such great representation from the Western end of the state.

Congrats to the Cards and good luck next week.:thumb:

Way to go Mayfield! I like to meet some of you all next week at the game!

Here's to 3rd great game in a row between the Rockets and the Cards!

Good job Mayfield

Congratulations. Good luck next week.

Congrats to Mayfield. Glad to see they have overcome thier early season slump. Just goes to show, you can never underestimate Mayfield come playoff time. Should be a good game this Friday.

Congrats to the Cards.

Congrats to the Cards. Good Luck.

Cards are playing by far their best ball of the season after a rocky regular season. The first team defense has allowed only 7 points and less than 100 yds of total average offense in the first two preseason games. Against Holy Cross the defense completely dominated the game against a team coming into the contest averaging over 30 points and 300 yards of offense. Mayfield head the cougars to just 98 yards of Total offense and pressured the qb all night long. Mayfield is back to playing Mayfield football and right now are looking to be a very tough out here in the playoffs.

Congrats to the Cards for not only winning the game in very cold conditions, but making a loud statement that Mayfield is a force to be reckoned with again.

Big effort by Mayfield and defense . Cross' defense was strong with #55 , #50 , #42 and # 67 heading up the effort .

I too was impressed by Holy Cross's defense...especially the players mentioned above. Congrats to the Cougars on a fine season and the best of luck in 2009.
