You must be looking @ his freshman year for his Ht. and Wt. I have seen him in person 3 times this year and he is @ least 6'2 and weighs 225-230. I would say the forty time is correct.:confused:

I've seen him once this year, and listened to the pre-game on the radio. They kept saying 6'2", 225 pounds, and I'd say that's fairly close.

I would have guessed 6'3", 220 pounds...that's in the ballpark.

 

He should definitely be in the discussion for Mr. Football next season and he's definitely a D-I talent/prospect.

That's the area he needs to improve, if possible, to boost his college potential. His speed is fine for the high school level.

The only problem with this is coach Holcomb does not and will not never play any competition at all. Channing is a great athlete and should go a long way at Breathitt if some of his team mates would step up and help him he would be fine. Coaches should quit worrying about there record and start worrying about there players. They need to play the best competition to show just how good Channing really is.

Channing Fugate is a man among boys, should also play QB the team would be alot bette off. Or bring the QB over from the middle school they might have a chance at the title.I think from the games i have watched that is where they are weak at.

He is a man child. Great high school player.

Fugate will also be a great college player.

Johnson Central (11-2) - Lost in regional final to Highlands. Other loss was Belfry.

 

Prestonsburg (11-2) - Lost in regional final to Corbin. Other loss was to Beechwood.

 

LCA (10-3) - Region champion, plays Hazard this weekend for a return to Louisville for state championship.

 

Estill County (11-2) - Both losses to Breathitt. Region runner-up.

 

Harlan County (8-4) - Two losses to Breathitt, one to Estill and one to Letcher Central.

 

 

The only thing that seems obvious is your severe dislike for Breathitt County.

 

Is it something as simple as your team not being able to beat them...or does it run deeper than that?

 

Either way, the assertion that Holcomb won't play good teams is completely false and can be easily refuted. If you don't like 'em, that's fine....great programs always have some haters.

After watching Fugate be the difference in the Estill/Breathitt game, I'd say he's definately one of the top five in pre-season next year. He's a solid 220 and not sure what his 40 time is, but do know he runs away from people. He's a stud on both sides of the ball.

By the way, strong post 5wide, Breathitt played a strong schedule this year. I've seen both Breathitt and Belfry play now, and I think it's going to be a good one.

Agree on Fugate, saw highlights of him on Friday night and he is a beast.

 

I also think Coach Mike Holcomb should receive a lot of credit for doing a heck of a job and be considered for Kentucky Coach of the Year. It seems as if Breathitt really hasn't garnered much statewide recognition this season and they are deserving.

 

Also Coach Jones from Estill County has rebuilt the engineers and finished the season with 11-2 record is quite an accomplishment.

Fugate deserves to be in the mix next year. Hard for a mountain player to get it, only 2 I can think of, but he is a beast.

Fugate is a D-1 player and should be Mr.Football for sure next year. Fugate will walk all over Belfry this Friday night. If Fugate cant run around Belfry he will run through team.
