I dont know about that, I mean all he had to do was come to a football game and see it in person.

BW has a couple of strong frosh but I think they will be playing JV.

The freshman HHS boys are a great class. Ironically, there was immediate great interest from Brossart, NCC, Bellevue, and CC. They have been after him for sometime. I know he played other sports outside of the Ft. Thomas area and his family hangs out with coaches and parents associated with these schools. It's one thing to cut a kid, it is another to ridicule them, and write that they he has not only no athletic ability, but no skills.

He may have played up at the frosh level then. I'll have to talk to Dave and find out for sure.

They should be pretty decent with Jake and Nick True as well as Reekers, Towles, and New at the PG spot. Also throw in the Merrill boys and their aggressiveness down low.

 

Just curious to know who this very very good athlete and leader is that did not make the team. Just because you are a good athlete does not necessarily mean you are a good basketball player. Exactly who is on the frosh team this year and what school did they play for last season?

I dont know the roster. I can tell you that the Merrill boys I believe were at St. Therese. Carter New was at St. Catherine Siena in Ft. Thomas. Most of the other kids played on the HMS 8th grade squad less one (fine athlete).

Yes

Newport's freshmen may have a difficult season with the loss of both Merrill that transfer to Highlands this year. Newport's freshmen team will not be as skilled as the past teams have been so this may be a long season for the young cats.

What can you tell me about them?

Games start this week. Camels play Pendleton on Thursday at home. Camels should be pretty tough this year even with the injuries to both Daltons (Griffin & Kennedy).
