I'd like to know who cheers for a team that isn't local. Whose favorite team is from elsewhere?

I'm an alumnus of the University of Dayton. I grew up liking UofL, but really got into the Flyers from the moment I enrolled and especially while I was writing for the student paper. I attended the UofL-Dayton game last year in Freedom Hall decked out in Flyers gear. I am now back in Louisville but never miss a radio broadcast of the games thanks to the magic of internets.

So who else likes a team that's not from around here?

I do:banana:. Avatar says it all.

I used to live in N.C.

Durham?

I am somewhat partial to Michigan St. I have always liked Tom Izzo.

Mom's family is from Indiana and ae huge IU fans, just inherited it I guess.

See avatar again. I also cheer for Marquette since I went there, too. I'm an alum of 5 schools, though, one of which is UK. I cheer for all of them.

Go Gators.

I grew up a Navy brat and was born in Portsmouth, VA.

So since I bounced around, I decided to stick with the town I was born in. I'm a University of Virginia fan. I pull for all the local college teams since I live in the area.

Virginia plays the first basketball game of the year on Sunday against some college called VMI. Anyone know anything about them?

OH............IO! Go Bucks!

" Son you can go alot of places and be a Lion, Tiger, or Bear. But there is only one place that you can be a Buckeye." Woody Hayes, They really are local even though I live in KY. I'm 120 miles from Lexington and only 86 from Columbus.

I'm an alumni of the University of Tennessee and consequently follow the Vols closely. A friend of mine from Alabama says that I like the GANO which stands for "God-awful-neon-orange". I'm certain many of you on this list would agree with him.

Always loved UNC basketball, big fan of VC, Stackhouse, Wallace, then McCants, May, Felton. I always liked Melvin Scott, a nice player for UNC who never got a lot of credit. And who doesn't love Montross?

Texas Longhorns
