nWo, my daughter voted for Bush in the last election despite my best efforts to guide her in the correct direction. I feel your disappointment as if it were my own. :cry: However, she actually got up at 4:30am this election to go with me to vote for Obama. He'll grow out of it.

I really don't know. I used to take him and his brother and sister with me when I voted. I always told them never vote for someone because mom or dad voted for them. Do your own research and vote for whomever you feel is best.

They all take a step back-wards every once in a while. She'll come around again.

I think he forgot his heritage and who he was supposed to vote for!!!

Lol, this is funny! I have an uncle who has actually told members of his wife's family that they were no longer welcome in his house because they voted for Obama. He was being 100% serious.

 

He was probably just looking for an excuse to ban the in-laws from visiting. Any excuse is a good excuse in my book.

My great grandpa was a democratic representative for KY, and my dads parents are still Democrats. My dad is republican, as am I. I find great fun in arguing with my grandma about it all. Her face was priceless when I told her I'd never in a million years vote for Hilary. I think disagreeing keeps things interesting.

This is one of the reasons that I dread election years. I claim to come from a mixed marriage. My dad's family is die hard Republican/Baptists, and Mom's is Democratic/Methodists. Needless to say, I try to avoid all family gatherings that I can, since I don't share any of the same views as anyone, lol.

My son came home from his Social Studies class in which the teacher is a liberal and had been panting the picture to these 10 year olds about how great Obama was.

 

I asked my son if he knew what an abortion was. He said he did not.

I explained to him that some people kill their unborn child and there are some people including Obama in the Democrat party that think that is acceptable for this country to allow to him.

 

He was horrified that someone would choose to kill their unborn child and that others would say it was okay.

 

He went to school and told his friends about it and despite the teacher's best efforts his group of friends never again liked Obama.

 

I was truly proud of him for standing up for the most important issue we have out there.

My daughter is still in the will. My other son didn't vote because he forgot to change his registration to where he lives now. I don't know about my nephew.
