Yes they were, it was Middlesboro. The game combined for 94 points. 58-36.

The game was back and forth until the 4th quarter.

Middlesboro's Hunter Adams had a field day against South Laurel a few weeks ago. 6 TDs, nearly 300 years of offense, ... after 1 play of the 3rd quarter. 4 rushing TD's, 1 receiving TD and an interception return for a TD. If he could have had a special teams TD, he would have 'hit for the cycle' (rush, receive, defensive & special teams TDs). One of the best performances I have seen this season. Don't know what his final yardage numbers were, but he didn't touch the ball at all in the 4th quarter.

I believe Quan Weaver of Frankfort ran for 227 and 3 TD's in the first half last Friday against Garrard County. Not sure on his final stats.

 

I think he finished with around 325 yards for the game.:eek:

I don't know how many yards...or how many carries...and it REALLY doesn't matter. The absolute relief that Clint Crawford gave Highlands in those first few games cannot be enumerated. Then to have Ollie Head and Tyler Fennell step up the way they did. Josh Conner was to be a Mr. KY FB player this year and those guys filled the void admirably!

18 attempts for 277 Yards and 4 rushing TD's , 1 catch for 50 yards and a TD , also returned a Interception 36 yards for the TD.

As a team didn't Johnson Central have over 600 yards in one game this year? I may be wrong but I think that's accurate?

Fugate from Breathitt Co. has had some big games this season. I think he ran for over 400 yards against a good LCA team. I will take Fugate as my early 09 season Mr. Football in Kentucky. I think he will have a good chance to bring the Mr. Football title back to mountains next year.

JC rushed for 684 yds which is just 26 yds shy of breaking the state record? Anyway, it was an impressive team showing against Woodford Co., in a game many thought at the time would decide the district championship. Chase Richardson and Nathan Dillon both had over 250 yds rushing in that game.

He finished with 327 on 17 carries, plus completed a 33 yard TD pass (his second TD pass of the year).
