I believe it is something that is worthy of discussion. Isn't that what this place is for. I don't want people to get the wrong impression. I love everyone as the Bible instructs us to. Yes, even Obama. I don't however love the sins that this world is so rampant with. I have read long enough on here to realize that there are many very intelligent people on this board Rockmom. I certainly feel that you fall into that category. I don't consider myself as being even close as intelligent as some of you on here. My vocabulary, and education is very lacking when compared to you, westsider, mcpapa, westsider, scooterbob, hearsay, All Tell, and many others on here who can get on here, and speak so eloquently. All I know is what I so passionately believe in my heart, and how the Bible tells us, and instructs us to live our lifes. I believe that Obama, and many of his beliefs go directly against what the Bible tells us. I would love nothing more for this country to return to God, and put him first in our society, and every day lifes. Unfortunately I see our great country heading in the other direction. How can we expect God to continue to bless us as a country, when we continually try to kick him out, and disregard his word? I've been so blessed over this many years, and I know my time on this earth is coming to an end in the very near future. I know where I will spend eternity, but there is a great burden in my heart for where I feel many others will spend theirs.

My comment wasn't directed specifically at you Mr. Wildcat. And I understand your passion. Yet, I saw our country headed into an abyss when Bush led us into Iraq. I feel many of Mr. Bush's beliefs have gone directly against what the Bible tells us. But, unlike the war in Iraq, those issues with whcih I disagree with Obama on, I believe and in fact I know there is something I can do.

Someone sent you that e-mail, Mr. Wildcat. Someone CREATED that e-mail. There's as much to be said about what must be in that person's heart, or isn't.

Well, using that theory, Hitler & GWB share a smiliarity...they invade countires, unprovoked.

So you honeslty feel what S.H was doing to the Iraqi people was something that needed to be ignored?

If the United States invaded and tried to rebuild every country that commited gross violations of human rights, we would have to wait in a real long line.

If Germany had not declared war on the U.S. in WWII, would you have been in favor of coming to the defense of the Jews? Yes it was a different time, circumstances etc, I know.

Help me out here. Do I put you down as a yes, or no, as your answer to the question?

It's going on other places as well, why did Bush make Iraq the exception under false pretenses?

Again my bad. Even someone with superior intelligence and schooling such as myself makes a mistake occasionally.

I have people ask me all of the time that has never met you if TTC really looks like Tom Petty...

I don't know where that came from but it Did...:D

I sure hope your avatar isn't in honor of Mr. Keightly, because I worked with him and he would be greatly dissapointed in these statements.

His avatar has nothing to do with Keightly that I can see...But his user name....

Apples and oranges, I agree.

When President Bush addressed the nation after 9/11, I heard a lot about Afghanistan, the Taliban and Al Qaeda. Not much about Iraq or Saddam Hussein.

And before the war in Iraq, all we heard was, "Weapons of mass destruction! Weapons of mass destruction". And then after our troops invaded, I remember reading that the war was called, "Operation Iraqi Freedom". I thought to myself, "I thought we were going in for the WMD's?"

FOR THE RECORD - This history presented in the original e-mail is false. Even a cursory understanding of the events in Germany would allow someone to know that the story there is simplistic.

Comments like this infuriate me.

Revisionist history is so 20/20.

My mother grew up in World War II Germany.

Her father was forced to fight in Hitler's army.

Her mother died trying to transport her and her 5 siblings out of the eastern portion of Germany. My uncles, being the eldest(11 & 12), were forced to dig a shallow hole in the frozen ground as deep as they could, then toss her body in it and leave.

They were then seperated and shipped off to camps for children. Fortunately the war ended before my eldest uncle turned 16 or he too would have been forced to join Hitler's army. It took my grandfather 2 more years to bring them all back together.

My mother was 7 when she watched her mother die. She was 13 when my grandfather finally found her and her sister. The first meal she was allowed to eat her fill, she ate until she threw up. She didn't know what it meant to feel full and for years ate everything that was given to her, which was never enough.

So the next time you you want to have a "cursory knowledge" of the events in WW II Germany maybe you should actually learn it from someone who's been there and not just refer to the revisionist vomit that is taught in the high schools and colleges here.

On a side note. She too, says Obama SOUNDS like Hitler. She never said he is Hitler, just that he sounds like Hitler.

Or maybe you're just blind to the facts like the others I have mentioned. ;)

 Maybe that is why I wear trifocals.

I see few if any parallels in the election of Obama and Hitlers rise to power. Wildcat, IMO you're off on this one.
