Not true. Even if you do disagree with Bush's decision to invade Iraq Saddam did provide provocation. You may not believe that the provocation justified the invasion but the Butcher of Baghdad was not just minding his own business during the slow march toward war.

Who was the Late Great Planet Earth guy? The scripture tells us that we not know the hour or the day . . . that JC himself does not know, so why to you try to discern the signs, especially if you are not reading the original language to see what it is really saying.

 

Perhaps, just perhaps our job in the world as christians is to spread hope and social justice around the world, beginning with our community and perhaps Barack is the leader who can bring us together to begin thinking outside of ourselves and looking to help other people. Why do we demonize things we do not know??

I believe it is something that is worthy of discussion. Isn't that what this place is for. I don't want people to get the wrong impression. I love everyone as the Bible instructs us to. Yes, even Obama. I don't however love the sins that this world is so rampant with. I have read long enough on here to realize that there are many very intelligent people on this board Rockmom. I certainly feel that you fall into that category. I don't consider myself as being even close as intelligent as some of you on here. My vocabulary, and education is very lacking when compared to you, westsider, mcpapa, westsider, scooterbob, hearsay, All Tell, and many others on here who can get on here, and speak so eloquently. All I know is what I so passionately believe in my heart, and how the Bible tells us, and instructs us to live our lifes. I believe that Obama, and many of his beliefs go directly against what the Bible tells us. I would love nothing more for this country to return to God, and put him first in our society, and every day lifes. Unfortunately I see our great country heading in the other direction. How can we expect God to continue to bless us as a country, when we continually try to kick him out, and disregard his word? I've been so blessed over this many years, and I know my time on this earth is coming to an end in the very near future. I know where I will spend eternity, but there is a great burden in my heart for where I feel many others will spend theirs.
