November 4, 200817 yr Problem in Cleveland is not Anderson. Receivers drop too many passes. Both would do good against _enver.
November 4, 200817 yr Bad move, IMO. Derek Anderson is not the problem in Cleveland. With the game tied at 27, Braylon Edwards had a step on his man and Edwards put a beautiful deep ball right on the money and he dropped a probable touchdown. If his stud WR didn't drop every other pass thrown his way, the view of Anderson would be different. If the rest of the team surrounding Quinn continues the way they've gone so far in 2008, I don't expect him to fare any better. But, if Donte' Stallworth gets healthy, and Winslow starts playing well, and Braylon Edwards quits dropping passes, and the running game starts producing...then he'll look better. And, he'll get all the credit for it, fair or not. But, the success of Cleveland's QB's depends on the supporting cast actually doing their job and for the most part, they haven't this year. Maybe a change at QB will get Edwards focused and on point though. Who knows?
November 4, 200817 yr Edwards has been really bad but he threw a terrible pick 6 that ended the game!
November 4, 200817 yr Edwards has been really bad but he threw a terrible pick 6 that ended the game! I won't disagree. But, he wouldn't have been in that position had Edwards made the earlier play. Instead, DA would have been protecting a 4-point lead. His teammates have not helped him...especially his WR's (Stallworth is hurt as always and 5-hour energy has turned Edwards' hands to stone). Quinn may spark the team. But, the team around Anderson has really let him down. When they've actually had a full cast and his WR's have played well, he's looked good (see Giants game)...but, instead of building on that, they go right back to dropping passes and keeping the offense behind the 8-ball.

Braylon Edwards has done a lot in the sense of keeping the Browns out of the endzone.
November 4, 200817 yr Quinn will now show everyone why he dropped so far in the draft. Maybe so but he at least deserves a chance.
November 4, 200817 yr Quinn will now show everyone why he dropped so far in the draft. That's what we are about to find out. I don't see it this way, but I've been wrong before.
November 4, 200817 yr I think he will do fine. If he is not successful in his first 2 games though, look out, the Browns fans will turn on him quickly.
November 4, 200817 yr In this division, unless a miracle occurs, they are the 3rd best team. (thank you Captain Obvious!) They play a similar miserable schedule away from the division. Quinn can't be much worse. I will say this,,,,Quinn is so beloved in that town already, perhaps some of the onus will actually fall on someone else instead of DA.(HC, OC, Edwards,Kellen Winslow's son) I'm not singing his praises, but Anderson can't shoulder all of the blame, however, he can't help but be the scapegoat. FWIW, I would bet Romeo's leash is significantly shorter than this time last season. I don't expect him to be around past next season without significant upgrade in W's. Romeo, Romeo, wherefor is thy 3rd string QB Romeo?
