November 3, 200817 yr Just heard on ESPN there's a deal being worked out for Iverson to be traded to the Pistons for Chauncey Billups and Antonio Mcdyss (Sp?).
November 3, 200817 yr Is this a good deal for the Pistons? I realize their need to shake things up a little, but I don't think this is the way to do it.

November 3, 200817 yr I've also heard they are trading Prince to Golden State for Stephen Jackson. And Amir Johnson and Jason Maxiell to Houston for Artest.
November 3, 200817 yr Author The way the Pistons are looking at it is as long as they have Stuckey they aren't losing much. Iverson will bring another scoring threat to the Pistons and Billups will add a true PG to go along with Martin and Anthony. This is a good trade IMO. Also just edited my first post. The player to be named is Antonio Mcdyss who would go with Billups to Denver for Iverson.
November 3, 200817 yr I think the Pistons want to hand the PG position over to Stuckey. It would be a good trade for both teams.

November 3, 200817 yr Good move for both teams IMO. What worked for the Pistons a couple of seasons ago isn't getting it done anymore, and the Iverson and Melo experiment hasn't worked as planned in Denver. AI can run both the point and sg, and is one of the best scorers to ever play the game, thus giving the Pistons more options than what they had with true pg Billups and over aging McDyess. For Denver on the other hand it actually gives them stability with a true pg and an experienced front court presence. J.R. Smith is going to have his coming out party this year, and Melo will be Melo, now without AI having to get his, Billups will get the ball distributed properly. So with all that said, good trade for both teams.
November 3, 200817 yr I don't think I will be cheering for the Pistons anymore...Billups was one of the main reasons I always pulled for them.
November 3, 200817 yr I don't see AI working out very well with the Pistons. The mandatory practice thing may be a problem:lol:
November 3, 200817 yr I think this is a good trade for Detroit. They still have a strong nucleus, but they're clearly not good enough to win a title with what they have. I think the opportunity is still there if they make the right move and it works out. I cannot fault a team for making a move that could result in a title and does not sacrifice their future.
