November 3, 200817 yr If AI is willing to take less of a scoring role on and more of a PG role, then this is a great trade. AI gets a bad rap, but the guy can play basketball. Also, I'd say that AI has more trade value than Billups. This allows Detroit to move Stuckey into the PG position if they wish, and shop AI around for something else.
November 3, 200817 yr Good deal for the Pistons. They have Maxiel and Stuckey to replace Billups and Mcdyss. Iverson is a better PG than Billups anyway.
November 3, 200817 yr The key to the deal is whose attitude permeates the locker room. The me first AI attitude that he seems to have had. Or the team attitude that the Pistons seemed to have had. If AI buys into the Pistons team mentality, than he gives them the explosiveness that they have been missing. If his poor attitude wins out, Rasheed may be worse than he has been in the past.
November 3, 200817 yr Great deal for the Pistons. This is not the same immature A.I. that was in Philly. The guy can still score 25-30 PPG & has shown he can share the ball which he will have to do with Sheed, Rip & company. I think this is a slight upgrade for the Pistons. I know, Billups was a big leader on that team but I think A.I. can come in & take off were Billups left.

November 4, 200817 yr Wow, huge deal for Denver by getting both Billups and Antonio.. McDyess is likely to be waived and then resign with Detroit in a month. It was a good move for both teams. Denver gets a solid PG who looks to pass first and with the weapons they have this should work out great. Detroit gets a scorer and really just an all out great basketball player. The only way this trade goes bad for Detroit is if Hamilton doesn't like having to come off the bench because that will eventually be the case. The point of the deal was to get younger by bringing Stuckey into the starting lineup as well as free them of the longer contracts of Billups and McDyess.
November 4, 200817 yr Excellent trade for the Pistons. Iverson's contract is expiring and Dumars has been trying to dump some salary. They will be rebuilding soon, but they are putting themselves in perfect position to do so. The Nuggets are absolutely nuts. As I read on a Yahoo! article, they act as if the NBA is folding next summer. Do they care about having a future?
November 4, 200817 yr Get rid of Billups????? What the heck is Dumars thinking? Billups is one of the best if not the best point in the league. Not enough balls to go around with Iverson in Detroit. I can't wait to see Wallace cry and act a full when Iverson's shootin up all the balls.
