November 2, 200817 yr Here are the SEC teams and their bowl hopes: Alabama - Eligible Arkansas - need 2 wins out of (@USC, @Miss. St., LSU) Auburn - need 2 wins out of (UT-Martin, Georgia, @Alabama) Florida - Eligible Georgia - Eligible Kentucky - Eligible LSU - Eligible Ole Miss - need 1 win out of (La-Monroe, @LSU, Miss. St) Miss St. - must win out against (@Alabama, Arkansas, @Miss) USC - Eligible UT - must win out against (Wyoming, @Vandy, UK) Vandy - need 1 win out of (Florida, @UK, UT, Wake Forest) The bolded teams should be in pretty easily. The others have a ton of work to do. That's 8 teams that should be in and the SEC has 9 spots to fill. Assuming Florida nad Alabama win the games they should the SEC would most likely have 10 bowl spots. No way ten teams get eligible. Miss State, Arkansas and Auburn will be left out. Tennessee is a long shot but I think they can win out.
November 2, 200817 yr I hope and pray UK does not go to the Music City Bowl...that's just boring...I mean 3 straight years to it is dumb...I hope they get a little higher bowl...
November 2, 200817 yr I hope and pray UK does not go to the Music City Bowl...that's just boring...I mean 3 straight years to it is dumb...I hope they get a little higher bowl... I don't know. I thought it was a pretty good time. It seemed like the other 50,000 fans were having a pretty good time, as well :thumb:
November 2, 200817 yr I will take the Cats going anywhere just as long as they are going to a bowl game and winning.
November 2, 200817 yr Nashville would be drooling if Kentucky came down for a third straight year...they love hosting the Cats as it brings huge money for them. The last thing they want is Vanderbilt being the SEC representative for the Music City Bowl just for the fact that most Vandy fans naturally live in or around Nashville and would not be buying up hotel rooms there.
November 2, 200817 yr I hope and pray UK does not go to the Music City Bowl...that's just boring...I mean 3 straight years to it is dumb...I hope they get a little higher bowl... Three straight years to bowl game only happens like every 60 or so years for UK. I dont care if the bowl game is in Paintsville, Ill take it.
November 2, 200817 yr Cobb - 7-13, 56 yards, 1 TD 1 INT, 31 rushing yards, TD Hartline - 9-17, 90 yards, 12 rushing yards Ehh, keep Randall in..

No sense for UK to be complacent with the Music City Bowl. If they can go 2-1 in their last 3 games then I believe they will get a better bowl than that, but we'll just wait and see.
November 2, 200817 yr Cats are bowl eligible for the third season in a row! Anybody know the last time UK went to bowls in 3 consecutive years?? Just curious.
November 2, 200817 yr Starkville is my scond favorite place in the SEC I have attended a game at. Nothing overly special, but the people were awesome and very hospitable. This was an ugly, ugly game... and for the second time I don't know how we ended with the "W". But, a win is a win and Kentucky still, somehow, has a viable shot at 8 wins and the Outback or Peach Bowl! Tennessee is awful and Vandy is Vandy.
November 2, 200817 yr I did forget to add that I was a little disappointed when I flipped the radio on and heard Hartline's name. He played ok yesterday, but I'm surprised he was able to play after his comments earlier in the week.

I mean I don't care if he did apologize..You don't do that to your team and he needed to learn a lesson...Poor management on letting him play.
