X is currently ranked #2 in the country by Maxpreps. This was as of 10/21, so it could change when they update the rankings tomorrow. Massey has X at #3.

Is this the highest a KY team has ever been ranked? Of course none of it means a thing if they don't finish out the season with a W.

Didn't Male finish #1 way back when?

Consider how hard it is just to compare EKY HS teams vs. WKY teams in KY polls...National polls are worthless.

St. X might be #2...or #200...

Nice thing to put in the ol' yearbook, though...brag about it to the kiddo someday...

Trinity checks in at #24 for MaxPreps as well...

Mad props to the Tigers.

Where are they in the USA Today poll?

I think the 1988 Trinity State Championship team finished in the top 5 in the country. If my memory serves me right.

They are coming to Cov Cath next Saturday. I might have to go see them.

In the USA Today that team finished #18.

Get there early. You may miss their #1s.

USA Today has them at 23. They were 15 going into the state finals last year and Trinity finished at #23. Given the loss, they weren't ranked in the preseason.

Maxpreps is the only one who actually goes out and watches the teams they rank. they attended the St.X - Trinity game this year.

ESPN ranks St.X #10 in this weeks poll. Way to go Tigers!

Good for X. I got to see their JV beat up on my Bluebirds and IMO their JV could contend on the Varsity Level in some of the divisions for a state title. They did make some mental mistakes, but they are JV and that's what they are supposed to do to learn. That program is going to be something special for the next few years with all those boys at running back. #4 is pretty amazing.

Congrats to X! That's a nice honor.
