The season is nearing the end so how do you rate your schedule. Was it too weak for your team or was it too hard for your team? Basically did it help your season or hurt your season preparing for the playoffs or just the overall seasons.

 

Your thoughts.

Bracken Co is winless, but I think their sked was right on par with helping them get better.

Raceland played a quality schedule: Ashland (top 10 in 5A), LCA (top 10 in 1A), Fairview (top 10 in 1A) upcoming game with Russell (top 10 in 3A). Raceland also had games with Greenup County (4A), East Carter (3A), West Carter (3A), Paintsville (1A), Paris (1A district), and Nicholas County (1A district).

 

I think the out of district schedule was pretty good and is helping Raceland prepare for the playoffs. LCA and Fairview are quality district games that did so as well.

 

All in all, I think Raceland's schedule is/was good and is good preparation.

We had a good schedule at Lynn Camp if we were healthy. The last 4 are tough due to the injuries. We still have Williamsburg, Hazard and Middlesboro. (We just got killed by Whitley Co.).

I agree. Sometimes teams make their schedule too tough and it leads to injury and a bad psyche. You can't play soft and be ready for the playoffs, you have to find that thin line and stay on it.

I think Fort Campbell’s schedule is just about right. However, some of their opponents who are typically better teams had down years this year. I believe the addition of Hopkinsville next year will make their schedule even better. Other then the addition of Hopkinsville, if they had to add new teams to their schedule I would vote for one or more of the following:

 

Christian County

Madisonville-North Hopkins

Lone Oak

Bowling Green

Hopkins County Central

Trinity's schedule is not nearly tough enough. The powers that be are trying to make it better. The Trinity Community appreciates those who offer to play. I understand the Rocks are still looking for up to four games.

 

A very successful program said Louisville is too far away for a home and home series. This team is within 120 miles.

 

Trinity drives that far for Frosh and JV games. 300 travelled to Cincy Elder for the Frosh game last Saturday.

 

The Rocks may return to Tennessee. I believe Cincy St. X has committed for two more games. Indy Cathedral doesn't have an opening. The Manual Crimsons return to the Rocks schedule in '09. Trinity will get to ten games. District foes Ballard, Eastern, and Seneca are improving.

Good mix of teams, right level of competition

I think CCH plays a very very tough schedule. Mooney, NCC, Highlands, Beechwood, Elder, St. Xavier; it's definitely not a cake walk. But I really think a tough schedule better prepares teams for their playoff run. You do not improve by constantly playing beneath your ability.

As far as shedules go, Coach Larkey did the best he could with the consolidation factor this year. I'm sure next year's will be much better.
