BCS Standings

I personally think that Georgia should be a little higher as well as Florida. I believe Georgia is better than #7 .

USC where they are at? That imo is the joke, they get beat by the powerhouse Oregon State Beavers  in a very weak Pac10 (aka: USC and the 9 dwarfs) but I guess Pete Carroll running it up and embarrassing a pathetic Washington St. team 69-0 was impressive :irked:.

Other than those couple of gripes of mine imo it doesn't look too bad. I would probably put Georgia and Ok. State in at 5 and 6, not sure what order. I really believe that UGA is better but Ok. State is unbeaten.

USC where they are at is my main complaint.

Well at least we will know more about Penn St. after they visit the Shoe this weekend. Personally, I believe that they will be driving back to State College with their first loss.

^ So do I but PSU is very good and imo definately deserves their ranking.

The Big 10 and all its fans BETTER hope PSU beats tOSU and wins out.

I truly believe that if PSU does not beat tOSU, that every team ahead of tOSU will lose at least one more time.

If tOSU wins I'm calling it now, they will play in the NC game and get embarrassed once again.

I disagree, should the Buckeyes beat PSU I believe that it would take too many teams losing one or more games to vault them (tOSU) into the #23 slot and I don't see that happening this season.

Tough games left -

1. Texas 7-0 - Oklahoma State, @ Texas Tech, possible Big 12 Champ Game

2. Alabama 7-0 - @ Tenn., @LSU, Auburn, possible SEC Champ Game

3. Penn State 8-0 - tOSU, MSU

4. Oklahoma 6-1 - Texas Tech, @ Oklahoma St.

5. USC 5-1 - none really, but they got beat by Oregon State

6. Oklahoma State 7-0 - @ Texas, @ Texas Tech, Oklahoma

7. Georgia 6-1 - @ LSU, Florida, @UK, Auburn, possible SEC Champ Game

8. Texas Tech 7-0 every game EXCEPT Baylor

Its very possible.

I believe the stat I heard was that going back to 1999, at least 1 of the top 2 teams in the initial BCS bowl standings have played in the National Title game.

With the SEC and Big 12 Championship games, you figure either Texas or Alabama will get knocked off. Which means we could likely see a National Championship game of either Penn St. or USC vs the surviver of the Big 12 or SEC mess.

Right now it looks like Texas vs USC again.

As long as the SEC is not playing I will be able to enjoy the game.

Completely disagree about Penn State....Have they beat a team that is over .500 this year? Don't think they have...

Yes, they have. They beat Oregon State (4-3), and Illinois (4-3). Something that is interesting though, is that Alabama is ranked #2 in the nation, and out of 7 games have only beaten 2 teams with winning records. I know people talk about the SEC's schedule difficulty, but this is pretty weak.

Alabama has played:

Clemson (3-4)

Tulane (2-4)

Western Kentcuky (2-6)

Arkansas (3-4)

Georgia (6-1)

Kentucky (5-2)

Mississippi (3-4)

Here is who Alabama has remaining:

- A weak Tennessee (3-4)

- Arkansas (4-3)

- A good LSU team (5-1), but who got embarassed by Florida

- A weak Mississippi State (2-5)

- A below average Auburn team

The only game really left facing Alabama is LSU. Not as difficult of a schedule as many SECer's want you to think!

Maybe not just yet but there season is about half way thru, they can't help their opponents record, half their oppoents will be above or around .500 by seasons end and in that order. Plus they have a chance to beat a BCS championship contender this weekend.

ref9, check your post again you have us playing the Hogs twice.

Tennessee weak, just beat the Bullgogs 35-3 and throw out the records its Bama/vols and its always a hard game. You should have known that.

Saban's return to LSU will be a very hard game.

Ark. State should be easy, but I said the samething about Monroe, every game is got to have respect.

Bulldogs play Bama tough. Always.

Auburn....you sure you know football?

They have been behaving a lot like an SEC program lately... :walk:

Don't make me gag!
