October 21, 200817 yr How would I know his stance if he wasn't running? It wouldn't be that hard to find out ... that's what "The Google" (as President Bush calls it) is for.
October 21, 200817 yr Was he running? Hmmm....You said you would vote for him ... no one held a gun to your head to make that proclamation.
October 21, 200817 yr How would I know his stance if he wasn't running? Actually, I think I posted it in that same thread that was linked. If not, I know I posted it about the same time in another thread. Let me look....

Why would I look into his stance on all of the issues if I know he's not running? That would be a colossal waste of my time. There may be many reasons I wouldn't vote for him that I wouldn't know about until he was running. :creepy:

October 21, 200817 yr Here we go: I made it easy for you back in June- What a great time to be a democrat I just looked through that thread, I never saw that and as you can see I never commented on it, so what would your point be?

October 21, 200817 yr Opened your eyes to what? The hypocracy of the conservative movement. You are fine as long as you go along with their agenda. If you exercise your own judgement you or don't follow in lockstep you will be ostracized. I became a follower of conservative train of thought during the Ronald Reagan's presidency. It is not what it was then. General Powell said it best during his interview on Meet the Press. I'm not going to repeat what he said here but I agree with him 100%. General Powell gave his reasons why he's backing Senator Obama but that doesn't matter to some. They say the only reason he's doing it because they are of the same race. I thought that the Republican Party was really going to try and when the black vote. Heck, I even thought about changing my registration to Republican but I'm glad I didn't. I can see the divisive campaign being run by some. As I've said before I don't care what either one of these men done in the past. I want to know what they are going to do in the future. Some want to claim that Senator Obama is playing the race card but don't want to admit the other side is doing it too. I've said it on more than one occasion that both sides use it. I know it won't matter what I say but I'm really disappointed with this election cycle. I thought this country had progressed beyond the divisive politics of the past. It should be about the issues but no we have to dig up every little bit of dirt possible. To me this is the most important election in my life. I'm fighting for my children and grandchildren. I'm proud to be a supporter of Senator Barack Obama.

Every time someone got on him, it was because "he doesn't look like the guys on the dollar bills". Remember that? Obama's words, not mine, he did the same garbage when he ran against Hillary. Seems odd to me that you are willing to look past that but lay heavy on me because I question Powell's intent, and you lay even heavier on the Republican party. You're dismissing what the Democrats have been doing all along, I don't get it. BTW, your comment of "you are fine as long as you go along with their agenda, if you exercise your own judgment you or don't follow in lockstep you will be ostracized" is a perfect example of Liberals, not Conservatives.
October 21, 200817 yr So, one of the guys lamblasted by the Democrats as having poor judgement for selling the message of WMD's and part of the hated Bush crew now has great judgement for endorsing Obama.

This is merely the other side of the same coin, and yes, it is hypocritical.
