In the Herald Leader today it is reported that some ACORN leaders have recieved death threats and there has been vandalism perpetrated on at least 2 of their offices.

 

Don't tell me that the campaign rhetoric is not stirring up violence.

 

I will say it, ..... IT IS NOT THE CAMPAIGN'S FAULT, PERIOD.

 

There are idiots all over the place. I hope they find the criminals who did this and they are punished to the fullest extent of the law. However, it is kind of sad that you are blaming the campaign, not the idiots who did this. Any chance to take a shot at McCain.

 

Like I have said before, I have dealt with ACORN and they are (as a general rule) a bunch of nuts. However, that doesn't excuse this sort of fringe behavior.

It is not a stretch at all, this is how these things happen, and why fear mongering is so dangerous.

 

So should McCain and his campaign ignore what ACORN is involved in? Absolutely not. All they are stating is what the press is reporting. So, ... should the media stop reporting anything about ACORN's involvement in voter registration issues?

I've paid attention to two elections in my life. Kerry vs Bush and Obama vs McCain.

 

Republicans have been far worse IMO, when it comes to smearing the other candidate. From the swift boat fiasco to everything that has happened in this election...republicans do not hold back at all.

 

That's funny. I have paid attention in elections since 1982 and have seen some bad stuff on both sides. This year, the same man who started the Kerry swift boat stuff a few years ago started a website about McCain claiming all kinds of insane stuff. However, that was nipped in the bud quickly, but the website is still up spewing lies and garbage. He also was arrested for physically assaulting a McCain campaigner. I didn't see anyone blaming the Obama campaign for that one, ... and they shouldn't have. There are idiots everywhere you look.

If either one of them were out telling people to do these things, I would give them some of the blame. However, when morons do stupid things, why do we always look for someone else to blame.

Show me even ONE time that McCain told people to go out and do something to ACORN's offices or call in death threats. You are the one blaming McCain, ... show us some proof. Where did I say Obama or Biden did? I said liberals are as bad and they are, in fact, leftist activists are far worse. Prove me wrong on that.

McCain should demonize ACORN, so should Obama, but Obama hasn't got the guts, plus he's part of the problem with ACORN.

If demonizing is telling the truth, then call it what you will. However, you are blaming McCain for what happened to ACORN and it just doesn't fly. Both McCain and Obama have demonized Wall Street greed, but where is your outrage there?
