Thanks but you need to show what NCC and Beechwood did in Football even when they weren't competitive in B-ball IMO. I'd also go back as far as atleast the early 90's with those two as well.

 

I'm not a supporter of either school, or even the same class, but I do realize what both did in football during that time period while not doing as much in B-ball, though NCC has been pretty solid over the years.

A few regions we be skewed because of size of the schools.

 

A 4, 5, or 6A school would not be affected as much as the smaller classes because there is not as much sharing of athletes.

 

 

The W/L is 62-46, only 4 schools had winning records and 5 made the playoffs, 3 past the 2nd round.

NewCath isn't far behind CovCath in regional titles in the last 20 years. I think that it is something like 3-1 w/ an All-A title thrown in the mix. They've won numerous district titles as well.

No, CovCath has 3 since 90 and NCC has 1. My point is that NewCath's basketball success has been underscored. For most of '90s NewCath played in the same basketball district as Holmes. They drew Holmes at least 3 times in the first round during that period. That has much to do w/ the lack of regional success.

What is interesting is if you went back to the late 80's through the mid 90's for Warren Central. You would find much post season success in football coupled with hoops teams with good records, but little post season success (many first round district knockouts). And, the football team was competing against top programs nationally such as Indianapolis Ben Davis, Montgomery Bell Academy, and Evansville Memorial. WCHS is a school were I think you can have much success in both sports. As a matter of fact, in the calendar year of 1993 WCHS made the Sweet 16 quarterfinals and was a state semifinalist in baseball and football.

One of the ones I was very interested in.

 

I know some of the basketball players at Mason Co. came in in the mornings and worked out before school after Oct. 15th.

 

That was also a special group of 2-sport athletes that went through Mason Co. during those years.
