Don't hold your breath waiting for this to happen. In case you haven’t noticed Willy, these Rams have not played tight all season long...this group has played and succeeded together for nearly a decade now. Someone mentioned that throughout their football careers, these seniors have only lost 3 games.

They only lost around three games from 3rd grade until Jr high, is what I think that person said.

 

But, I agree, this group of seniors knows how to win.

I look for a close game,Paintsville has played some quality opponent's and it should make them tougher,Raceland will start playing a little bit tighter as the season moves along staying undefeated.May come down to a last possesion game.

Raceland is playing like a team on a mission this season. I have been very impressed with the Rams so far. As for Paintsville, things haven't changed! Their skill positions are darn good, maybe as good as anyone's but their line play is not so good. Against good teams their line don't give their skill kids a chance.

 

For the Tigers to win they will have to limit the Rams oppertunities to score. If Paintsville can keep it close they may have a chance in the end but if not the Rams will roll in this one.

DUH...I know you're talking about this game. evidently you don't understand statistics or matchups if you seriously think Paintsville is of the same caliber (based on strength of schedule or competition) as this Raceland team. have you even seen them play?

Give me a break. You've seen Raceland play ONE TIME. Just because your beloved Devils got squashed by Ashland doesn't mean we wouldn't beat them again, and we have already beaten them. Ashland would not have even scored if Raceland hadn't fumbled four times. That's the only reason they were even in the game. Do you think Raceland would be 6-0 if they weren't getting better through the course of the year, & not to mention still winning with a few starters out for 2-3 games?

 

I'll agree that the Tomcats have improved alot, but keep in mind they still gave up 44 points to Woodford Co.

 

AND yes, you'll know Saturday when you read the paper or log on here that Raceland will be 7-0, and NO, I have no more questions.

Like I said,the pressure builds each week with the undefeated season and Paintsville has played some quality games and I think this game comes to last possesion. It is not like the Rams have played the strongest teams other than LCA,which might have come out different other than a very questionable call to say the least.

That is good to know,i can sure you that Raceland is a after thought to the Devil's,not trying to hurt anyone's feelings,just making a prediction on Raceland-Paintsville game:D

The personal foul call had nothing to do with the outcome. LCA threw an interception and that was that. As for a tough schedule, whose schedule is any tougher? Other than the district games & Paintsville, Raceland plays up in class every game, not just one or two. And other than Johnson Central, Raceland is the only other area team that hasn't lost. Heck, Ronnie Milsap can see that Paintville's only played two quality teams, & got waxed by both.

 

Maybe the Rams should schedule some tougher teams other than Ashland, Russell, or LCA since their schedule is so weak. I know Boyd Co. will be on the 2009 schedule. Maybe we can get Lewis Co. in our district as well.

 

Maybe you should come to more than one Raceland game & then you'd view it differently, but I doubt it. Doesn't matter, Raceland will roll on

I am glad to see that our thread seems to be exciting to some people again....must be getting towards the end of October. There was a good point about some people starting to worry about our undefeated status. Let me assure anyone that is worried about the Rams, the coaches will keep them focused and the very experienced senior class will remain focused on their football goals. Noone associated with the Ram football team worries about anything except the game they are preparing for that week. The only thing on the minds of the Rams is that they are 0-0 and they play a very good and very football tradition rich team in Paintsville this week that has had an extra week to prepare.

 

Also, the point that our schedule is weak? Well, opinions are just that. We have played very good teams and played up outside our district to prepare for 1A powers and to go deep in the playoffs. Outside of NKY, I would argue our schedule is as tough as any 1A team in the state. Our district boasts 3 top 10 teams and we have beaten them, 1 top 5A school and we have beaten them and we still are to play the #3 team in 3A in a couple of weeks. Can anyone else say that? Ashland is the only team in the area that has as tough a regular season schedule.

 

I look for an old fashioned knock down drag out football game. I also think that we are prepared to go to battle and come out with a victory, IF we stay focused and TCB. Good luck to both teams.
