I think heard somewhere that Paintsville owns the overall series record can anyone confirm this? :jump: Also, good job Rams fans for not allowing your players to over look the Tigers. I hope Paintsville comes into this game prepared even though they play for the district championship next week versus Pikeville. This is a great chance for the Tigers to prove that they can compete in Class A and get their new head coach a great signature win. Good luck both teams!

I am sure that Paintsville will come to play, as they always do. I expect a good game, I hope the Raceland players do as well, or Paintsville will increase that series lead.

I feel like the Ram team is as prepared as they can be for this game. This is truly a special group of boys we have playing for us this year.

 

Several weeks ago, I was working in the High School on the day of the LCA game. The school had a pep rally that day, something we don't do often. When the team was introduced and they came in, I remember thinking that they weren't fired up at all. It made me nervous about the outcome of the game. Since then, I've come to realize that this team is just really good at staying on an even keel. It's like they aren't even worried about their own hype. Every Friday, the school is decked out in Orange and Black for the game, and the whole team wears their jerseys, but these guys just go about their day. Most of these guys are content to come into class, sit down and do their work along with everyone else. There is no cockiness, no arrogance about these boys. They are just ready to do what they have to do on the field. They have a great maturity about them. The coaches have done a great job in mentally preparing these kids for each Friday Night.

 

So, I don't think all the hype about being 6-0 will hurt, because I don't think these boys listen to their own hype.

Paintsville- Raceland does not respect you, they booked us for homecoming for God's sake. They probably didn't even watch a minute of film. They are 6-0 and are #2 in Class A and picked a sure win (in their minds) for homecoming.

Great post! Thats a true sign of a special team. I have all the confidence in the world that these guys will remain focused throughout the whole season, regardless of hype, records, and what not. Best of luck tonight Rams. Get the job done.
