Bigg's used to charged .25 cents to get a cart and return it to the cart area. You also had to bag your merchandise You got your quarter back if you returned your cart correctly. I've seen ads for Aldi - no thanks

Depends on what I'm needing and what's on sale. I'm a big-time coupon clipper, so I will try to go to Kroger more often because of the double coupons. Just the other day I ended up getting my toilet paper for free because it was on sale and I had good coupons. My bill would've been something like $85, but ended up only about $55 because of coupons.

Do they always do double coupons, or is that a special time?

Always. But they don't mark off more than $1.

Don't you guys have ALDI's up there. I remember there being one in Corbin.

ALDI is moving in down here and under cutting Wal-Mart prices. They are opening 2 new stores close to my house within the next 30 days.

What is ALDI? I think there is on e in NKY but I wasn't sure what it was. There is also something called GFS that I don't know what it is.

I think the two are affiliated.

I don't much care for Aldi, and find them to be rather dumpy, much like Sav-A-Lot.

Aldi is a discount grocery store. I think of them as the Big Lots of the grocery industry. I have been to 3 different ones, and they seem very disorganized and not well thought out. GFS Store is a retail outlet of Gordon Food Service. They are a commercial supplier to restaurants and institutions like schools, hospitals, and nursing homes. If you need a gallon of mayo or a 5 gallon bucket of sliced dill pickles, they are the place to go.

JS, I don't think the two are connected, but I could be wrong.

Upon further investigation, you are correct. I don't know where I got the idea they were connected. Thanks! :thumb:

Krogers because of the gas discount offered and Remkes because it is the closest .

My brother is a Kroger union man so I do most of my shopping there.

Remkes is my second favorite because they are local.

Both of the above supports our school in many ways so I spend my money with them.

I worked for KROGER for 5 years. I am vested with a small pension from them, and still own some Kroger stock, so I buy my groceries from there.

Best place in town to go...meat is better, and customer service is WAY better.

I usually go to Kroger because if I go to a Walmart or something I usually end up spending more money on stuff I dont need.

In Danville, you can have a lots of choices between the Krogers, Walmarts, Save a Lots. foodloins and Aldis,so take your pick.

Walmart for everything other than meat and fruit.

Kroger for meat

Wild Oats for fruit

Kroger...Because it's closest to my house.

Also because Kroger is very shopable, you don't have to walk for miles to get what you want.
