One Question for Obama

Well personally I don't believe "In God We Trust" should be taken off our currency. This supposedly is one nation under God.

I believe we are taught that there shall be no other God before ours. I have a deep concern about a president who doesn't share those beliefs. I really don't believe our forefathers intended it that way either.

I don't have a problem with the pledge of allegiance in schools. How many of the posters know the pledge of allegiance??

I don't see that its peripheral nonsense. IMO at times like these we need to get back to the basics of life . The big problem with the economy is one thing...... GREED.

You ask someone in the middle east if Allah is just another name for God and your more than likely dead.

BASICS PEOPLE, BASICS !!!!

Question: What does any of this have to do with Obama?

I'm concerned when he says that we are no longer one nation under God. We are a nation of buddist, muslims and so forth. Is that what they meant in 1776? Was that the intention when the constitution was written. I understand we change with the times. Unfortunately all of our leaders in Washington seem to have forgot about the basics.

How about love thy neighbor. I'm beginning to believe that those in Washington thrive on power and deception. There job is one of causing dispare more than one of unity.

B. Hussein Obama is not a Muslim but he is a socialist. Greed is not the cause of the current economic crisis - political corruption is the root cause and that corruption has destroyed businesses' confidence in our economic system.

Obama, liberal Democrats, and even a few misguided Republicans are trying to exploit the current situation to inject more government controls on the private sector. This is a very dangerous time in our history where unscrupulous politicians will attempt to exploit the situation to advance their failed political agenda.

If you want to make Obama's religion an issue in this campaign, then research what it means to be a Christian in a church that embraces the Black Liberation theology. Black Liberation Theology as described in James Hal Cone's extensive writings and speeches and embraced by the Trinity United Church of Christ is much more disturbing to me than moderate Islam.

It makes no sense to label Obama a Muslim because the truth is far worse.

I'm not saying he's a muslim. I think he made it an issue with what he has said.

I do agree with corruption is a problem, that corruption has a lot to do with greedy politicians. Its a more of whats best for me than whats best for my district or state. How come all these politicians are so well off ? Was that the intent of there job ? I'm deeply concerned about the way we are headed toward socialism.

The people concern me because they don't look in the mirror and realize that they should have never purchased the $250,000 home when they made $50, 000 a year. That because they have credit card with a $10,000 limit they now have $10, 000 to spend.

Then when they realize there is no way to pay, its the banks fault for loaning them that money. The bank now needs the government to bail them out of the loans that they told the people it was alright to do. There a lot of basic fundamentals of life that are missing.

I not a big spiritual guy. I don't attend church as regularly as I should. I do believe in God. I do believe in the 10 commandments. I do believe we are intended to be one Nation under one God. I also understand that if I was in the situation its my resposibility. My income is down $10,000 from a year ago. I haven't lived above my means, I pay my bills and if I don't then its my fault and not somebodys responsibility to get me out

Why not ask McCain the same question? Both men are Christians, after all.

McCain would probably dance around it. In case one can't tell I'm really, really down on politics. Term limits would be a great thing. Like the gang would vote for that. I bet you the people of the U.S.A. would.

I agree with most of the above. However, I do not fault the banks. The banks were responding to pressure to make more loans to minorities and the pressure was applied by Congress. Banks were encouraged and rewarded for making loans, and selling them. The market for bad loans was created by Congressional meddling, with a huge assist from left wing thugs in organizations like ACORN, which received tax dollars for their efforts.
