You don't see this everyday...

He was sitting atop a high voltage power line tower less than 100 yards from my house this afternoon. I wish I had a better camera. I could not get close enough and the overcast day didn't help either. Observing him with a good set of binoculars was breath taking. When he flew off, I could not get a picture of him, but he had a magnificent wing span, easily 6 to 7 feet.

I have saw an eagle in the wild once for sure and maybe twice around Cave Run Lake in Morehead while fishing. That's pretty awesome :thumb:

Yes. Well out near Westchase. My sister was out walking her dogs and she heard him scream. She was right in front of my house and ran to get us. He sat there for another 10 minutes. When it started raining, he flew off.

We saw some bald eagles up in Alaska....Probably about 25-30 of them. They are truly awesome birds!

We have a couple of nesting pair and their eaglets in our county. I saw one about a quarter mile from my house once. My avatar was one for quite a while.

:lol: Nope, they were quite close to the Governor's mansion though. Seriously, when we were in Juneau we walked by a huge house, and joking said it was probably the governor's house....A couple hours later on a bus tour, we found out it actually was....:lol:

I have seen a Golden Eagle but never a Bald Eagle. That is one awsome site.
