Boyle County has moved up to #1 in 4A while Bell County moves down a spot to #2 and keeping Lexington Catholic at #3. This is a fair move IMO and I was just wanting to see what everybody's opinion was on this, so have at it!

I would love to see a Bell County/Boyle County match-up later on down the road! Both teams got alot of work to do in order for this happen but this is obviously possible. Both are great teams and this would just be an awesome game! So who knows...

I'd have made it 1a) Bell, 1b) Boyle, 3) LexCath. Until Bell loses, or is at least challenged, I see no reason that they should be moved out of the top spot. (Not that the polls matter on the field or in December.)

Having beaten the #2 team in 4A and a solid highly ranked 2A Danville team, I think they definitely have a claim to be #1. However, Bell has been destroying its opponents in a very impressive manner.

Bell Co.'s schedule does very little to help them in keeping the top spot. The only team of rank on their schedule is 3A #6 Sheldon Clark.

Boyle Co.'s schedule is difficult enough to allow them to control their own destiny for #1 ranking.

:bunny:

What poll? AP dated Sept. 29 still has Bell #1 in 4-A and Boyle Co. #2. What is your source. Please provide a link.

Probably talking about the BGP rankings.

Polls mean nothing!!! Boyle has played a better schedule but as some one said until Bell gets beat they have to stay #1.

Why do they? If Boyle is undefeated against a tougher schedule and has been more impressive than Bell, they have a heck of a case to be the #1 team.

I think if they were to play today-Bell wins in a close game.

I hated to see Rock drop out but it's nice to see Knox Central get some love.

B/c what other justification do you have for leap-froging them? Both are undefeated.

In my opinion, Bell's undefeated record isn't as impressive as Boyle's ... if you want to debate that, go right ahead. That's why I feel that Boyle is a legitimate #1 right now.

Compare the two schedules. The worst team Boyle has beaten, according to the Cantrall Ratings, is Danville. Their Cantrall Rating is at least five points better than anyone Bell has played this season.

That's why Boyle deserves the #1 ranking.

Understand your point and don't necessarily disagree with you. But until they loose they should not be moved down.

I disagree ... just because Bell was ranked ahead of Boyle to start the season doesn't mean they should stay that way, especially if Boyle looks to be the more impressive team.

Have you seen both? How do you know which is the most impressive? Score watching is not a very good indicator.
