First meeting on the gridiron for these 2 schools. Who wins it and why?

Campbell County won last year's matchup 27-7 in a game that wasn't really that close. I thought that the Camels were much more physical than the Royals last year; the Royals will have to improve in that area this time around.

This has all the makings to be a great game. Mason Co. comes in rolling at 3-1 with their only loss to a good Boone Co. team and out scoring their opponents 204-55, but they will have to bring their A game to knock off Campbell Co. on their home field. I like Mason Co. 35-28.

Although a non-District game, this contest could factor favorably for CC into 6A tie-breakers down the road (i.e., if Mason continues to win throughout the season and the Camels defeat them next Friday).

 

The Camels are showing signs of what they are capable of on Friday nights.

 

Having CC's Zack Koeninger back vs. Mason will be a huge lift for the Camel D.

 

What are Mason's strengths? Have not seen them play since last year.

I'll take Mason Co in a close one.

Mason Co. will not be able to put up that many points against the Camels Defense (actually, not even half that amount). The Camels stingy D has ony given up two touchdowns in 3 of their 4 games, and were trailing Boone 14-7 in Q4 before Boone wore down the Camel D for late scores.

 

Sorry, but Mason's only hope to outscore the Camels is Defensive scores and Special teams, neither of which Mason is known for.

I think it'll be a good contest, but the depth of the Camel's will wear down Mason. Campbell wins.
