Cards show they're not ready for prime time by blowing a 21-10 third quarter lead.

 

Friday night is not prime time. I know it's the only way UL gets on one of the ESPNs but it is not prime time.

Fraud seems to be a word some of the UL faithful like to use quite often and more often than not it always comes back to haunt. Tonight was one of those times.:eek:

I'd be very surprised if JS meant prime time television......

The Pick was just a back breaker. They run the ball and then punt and UCONN has to go 80 yards for a go ahead TD with 2 minutes plus to go, instead the guy walks in.

 

I'm a great believer in getting my backup QB some snaps before you really need him. Is the Sims kid still out?

Two years ago they were an elite team, for one season. Not an elite program, but an elite team. It is easy to cheap shot them now that they are down, isn't it?

I've got some questions that someone might be able to help me out with...

 

When the Anderson/Bolen combo is working so well, WHY put in Powell?

 

When Doug Beaumont is our best reciever, WHY throw to Chichester?

 

When the other team's quarterback is right in front of you, WHY not tackle him?

 

When you're 3 and long, WHY use a running play?

I've got some questions that someone might be able to help me out with...

1. Powell had a huge night. Over 100 yards. Not a factor in the loss.

2. Doug B. was not used enough, I don't understand why Cantwell was looking at Chichester so much.

3. They got good pressure on the QB most of the night, the UCONN passing game was irrelevant. UofL nearly outgained them 2 to 1. UofL didn't convert enough points. 21 points on over 500 yards?

4.The running game is the strength of the team, but I agree with you. The fourth down run play with Wolfe in the game was awful.

 

I am totally fed up with Kragthorpe and Brohm (to be honest). Brohm has not done a good job calling plays. K-thorpe, well, I don't think I need to say anything. I am tired of hearing UofL fans defend him. That loss last night was terrible. I am not a negative fan ranting, but if something ain't working, you got to fix it. TJ needs to swallow his pride, and remove K-thorpe.

As it was so easy for them to crow for a couple of years they happened to be good. I really had nothing against the Cards until that period when all we heard was elite program and national championships. Neither which came to fruition.

How bad does UL miss Carmody?

Bah humbug to Powell. I mean, after a few plays he steps up, but the first few times they give him the ball he looks like he's afraid to get hit and the yards he thinks he's getting by diving are not nearly enough. Vic and Brock would've been perfect to get a TD on one of those 4th quarter drives.

 

I've been a Krag AND Brohm supporter, but I think the last leg of my defense gave out last night, and honestly, I don't think I WANT to keep defending them after that travesty. Perhaps this is all angry, hungover ranting, but eh, we'll see.

I have no personal issues with either of these coaches. Win or lose just not sold on Coach K. Jury still out for me on Brohm.

Kragcooper lost this one when they did not kick the field goal in the first half with the wind behind them on 4th & 5 that would have been a 4 ponit lead and no reason to throw the ball late in the game.

We have been on ESPN more than any team the last ten years and most weren't on Friday, so try again, but next time please put some effort in it.
