My brain is still reeling. I am at the point that I don't know what to think. Through the entire first quarter we were awesome until we got inside their 35, when the offense seemed to fall apart. Then we seemed to have something going through the second half until Cantwell got hurt. Wolfe went in handed it off for what, five consecutive plays? Dear Coach K, the guy's going to have to learn to throw it sometime. And the solution to that little quarterbacking mess was definitely NOT to put a clearly unsuited-to-play Cantwell back in the game.

 

We just lost to a team we should have beaten by 20 last night given the way we played up until about the last 10 minutes. My patience is definitely wearing thin and these guys are going slowly turning me into one of those whiny, impatient, I-know-what's-best-for-the-program kind of fans. I don't like being made to feel that way. And Kragthorpe is not the kind of coach a fan like me wants to see in these situations. We want to see him whooping and hollering after a loss about what terrible situation we're in, not calmly talking about how we need to improve on both sides of the ball and that he likes our enthusiasm and that he still defends whatever decision he made. If you want to defend your decision, YELL AT A FEW REPORTERS AND GET INDIGNANT. It's what we really want to see, even if we say we don't.

Bah humbug to Powell. I mean, after a few plays he steps up, but the first few times they give him the ball he looks like he's afraid to get hit and the yards he thinks he's getting by diving are not nearly enough. Vic and Brock would've been perfect to get a TD on one of those 4th quarter drives.

 

I've been a Krag AND Brohm supporter, but I think the last leg of my defense gave out last night, and honestly, I don't think I WANT to keep defending them after that travesty. Perhaps this is all angry, hungover ranting, but eh, we'll see.

That's if you consider a Friday night game on ESPN2 to be truly "Prime Time".

 

Friday night is not prime time. I know it's the only way UL gets on one of the ESPNs but it is not prime time.

 

What kind of cave have you guys been living in that you have never heard the figure of speech "not ready for prime time?"

Cantwell threw an awful pass for the pick 6 but I blame last nights loss 100% on Krag & Brohm. There was some flat out pitiful play calling last night and it's really starting to wear on me. UofL should have won this game no questions asked, it was the most disappointing game I've been to in a long, long, long time.

As it was so easy for them to crow for a couple of years they happened to be good. I really had nothing against the Cards until that period when all we heard was elite program and national championships. Neither which came to fruition.

I'd be willing to be that if we did some research on the boards, UK fans have used the word 'elite' making fun of UofL 15 times more than UofL fans ever said it referring to the team.
