What's a true Freshman????[/quote

IMO a student who never repeated a grade or started school late is a true freshman. This person would not be 15 before Oct 1 of his freshman year.

:thumb: Thanks for the clarification

Highlands will field a very athletic team this season. With the addition of Carter New (Kenny Shields grandson) I would think they could put together some nice wins. Some other names that come to mind are Jake True, Pat Towles, Charlie Reekers, Ozzie Sheehan. They do lack a true big man but have a lot of athleticism.

Towles - does he have an older bother that plays as well?

Don't know about a brother but he does have an older sister, Bekah, who plays.

I haven't seen Jake True in awhile but I thought he was considered a big man. Is he not still one of the bigger players for his age?

His younger brother Nick is playing frosh as well. From what I've heard he's huge and hasn't turned 14 yet???? Qryche - is that correct?

Who's coaching the frosh? Is it still Matt Stephens?

Yes, in fact he just turned 13 and has a lot of potential as well as a lot of work to do. The best thing about this kid is his willingness to learn and get better. He could get to 6'8 or 6'9 before its all said and done.

As far as Jake True being a big man, he is 5'11 200 and will battle underneath but he will play the 3 probably simply due to his ballhandling abilities. JMO

Only downside of Nick True playing Frosh is he cannot play AAU during season.

That is what I have heard. Matt led that bunch of 8th graders a few yrs ago to the State championship. The group had Kowolenek, Lother, Collinsworth, Roller, etc. I would expect them to have a decent year with him at the helm.

How big is he?

How big is he?

A 6-7 frosh has just transferred to Campbell County.
