In addition to that player, a certain 8th grader at CCMS should be playing/starting freshmen. He will give them a very strong backcourt!:ylsuper:

I don't think that there was a 6'7" kid in the Boone County system that was considered a good AAU player.

6'7" kids that can play don't transfer without everyone knowing about it.

What is the players name? How big?

The player in question is at Brossart

Not sure where you get your information, but he is very much an 8th grader at CCMS, not at St. Mary's, St. Joe's (or any other feeder schools) and definitely NOT at Brossart. In fact he just finished QB'ing the 8th grade football team this past year.

IMHO CCHS provides the most opportunity for this young man to succeed and attain the goals he and his parents desire.

His mom held the scoring title at Brossart for awhile back in the early 90's. The last time I saw him (a few weeks ago) he was about 5'11".

I agree Boom, CCHS is his future and he will excel there. Dont think for a minute though the Green and White folks arent wishing he goes to his mom's alma mater.

CC Frosh should be good this season but I think he is definitely good enough to start. Are you for sure he will be playing Frosh? Buddy and I were debating this the other day.

The kid can definitely play and wouldn't be surprised if he did play at the freshman level.

It would definitely benefit him to play against tougher competition and challenge the skills that he possesses. Campbell seems to be a guard factory in the making the next four years. Seems like great things to come for the Camels, unless he decides to suit up in the green and white.

In talking with the 8th grade coach, he is, as of today, playing frosh for CCHS. I agree the green and white folks aren't and won't give up very easily at acquiring his athletic services. He also participated with the JV this summer on a limited basis.

I still see him growing to 6'4 or 6'5 and playing the 3 consistently possibly even in college. If he keeps getting taller and also continues to work on his game he should have no problem playing after HS.

I know his mother is tall, but his fathers family is well under 6'. I wouldn't count on him being that tall, but I could be wrong.

I feel for the 8th grade kid that will be playingd for the Camel frosh. He is being talked about as if he is the next "Michael Jordan". That is a lot of pressure to place on one person that is so young. The comment on how tall he will get and college playing is a perfect example.

You never know if a kid will come back to the pack in terms of talent or will exceed everyone's goals and expectations. I saw him play against older kids and wasn't bad, but he didn't dominate like you think he would with the expectations that some have for the youn man. I wish him luck!!

Nobody said anything about him dominating. He is clearly a very good basketball player and has gotten better each of the last 4 years I have watched him. I dont expect he will get any worse and if he continues to grow he should be good enough to play some sort of college ball. Considering he is an 8th grader I guess you have a good point about pressure but I am sure he will be fine and excel at CCHS.
