KY Elite will give him great exposure this year. That is the main goal.

I just found out that Kentucky Elite is ran out of Sportsville in Florence Kentucky. They do a decent job of running some local tournaments and allow a lot of younger teams to have somewhere to play.

These teams were formed to populate the BCI tournaments in Florence. These teams will not travel to any of the top notch tournaments in this area.

BCI tournaments are not going to allow a player to recieve exposure or get him in front of college coaches.

If a players wants to be with an elite orginization they need to look at programs such as Derek Smith, Shining Star Sports, etc...

There are a couple of KY Elites out there. The one I am referring to has some of the best 14 year old players in the state on it. They will be traveling across the nation playing against the best of the best. You can check them out on kyelitebasketball.com

Good deal. Sorry about the confusion. I did not realize that there were multiple teams with the same name.

Anyone know who the following bolded kids are:

Class of 2014

1. Dylan Portwood Georgetown. KY 6’1” PF

2.Brandon Hatton Covington, KY 5’6” SG

3.Quentin Snyder Louisville, KY 5’5” PG

4.Christian Cunningham Lexington 5’5” PG

5. Jackson Davis Lexington, KY 6’3” C

6.Marcellous Washington Lexington, KY 4’7’ PG

7.Zach McCormick Covington, KY 5’8” PF

8. Dakari Johnson Lexington, KY 6’1’ C

9. Charles Grundy Lexington, KY 5’10” WF

10.Ryan Dishman Somerset, KY 5’9” G

Sleeper. Derion Burns Flemingsburg, KY 4’11” PG

Are those two in the Covington schooling system? If so, looks like Holmes will keep reloading for years to come.

Hatton is being discussed in the AAU thread and I believe he is destined for Dixie. McCormick is from Ohio.

Hatton: Dixie

McCormick: Wilmington, Oh

I am getting word that the two teams to beat are Dixie and Ryle with Boone being a distant third.

Lloyd should have a decent freshman team as well.

Dixie depends a lot on Zeke Pike playing freshman ball. I don't think that is going to happen. He will be starting JV and getting some varsity minutes from the start.

I agree. I doubt very seriously Zeke plays freshman ball this year.

Did Zeke play JV football, meaning is it possible that he could stick with the Frosh Basketball team based on what they did with Football?

This kid could start JV so I think we are wasting our breath talking about him in the Frosh thread. JMO

He could have started JV, possibly Varsity football as well.

I agree. Zeke will be a lot of fun to watch over the next few years.
