This district game is very important for both teams. Out of the 5 teams in the district, one will sit out for the playoffs. Right now, Mercer County is 3-0; Southwestern 1-1; Pulaski County 0-1; South Laurel 0-1 and Lincoln County 0-1.

This game might be a shoot-out. The defenses for the two teams are giving up over 30 points per game each.

After four straight games on the road to open the season, I think the Warriors will be pumped up to play in front of the home crowd.. If they limit the turn-overs they should pick up the win to go 2-1 in the district... Go Warriors!!

Southwestern 38

Lincoln County 12

I will have to go with Southwestern to win, but I do think Lincoln will give them a good game, SW.35 LC 28. Good luck to both teams.

Lincoln County dosen't have the running game Mercer does, or the passing game South Laurel does. I don't think they will be able to run the ball much on Southwestern. The question is can they pass on Southwestern. Southwestern has had four in a row on the road, the last three against strong opponents. This is the first home game of the year for Southwestern. Southwestern big in this one.

Southwestern 35-14.

When doesn't Lincoln County support their high school team? It is a misconception to think that community doesn't support the high school team. They always have a big following, win or lose.

Southwestern is the obvious favorite, however I think this could be a close game. LC's biggest problem is lack of depth. They have had numerous injuries to an already thin roster.

Lincoln is still facing to many injuries. Southwestern picks up a key district win. 28-14
