It's a short trip, the facility is nice and the Lee band is very impressive.

 

I'll be in Hazard this week though to see the Dragons and the new turf there.

Very nice field. Parking is a bit strange. We went straight through and parked behind the school. Home side stands are of course much bigger. Visitors side is similar to Evarts visiting side. You are eye level rather than elevated. If you carry a recorder like I do, you should stay on the Home side for elevation. HDE's correct, band sounds great. Unfortunately, we heard the cannon blast off to much. :mad: I don't think you guys will. :thumb:

Powell Valley has been down the past few years.

Harlan County will have their hands full with Lee Co. Lee is very atheletic and can move very well on defense especially their D-Line. I look for this to be a very close game with the Black Bears coming out on top 7 or less points. Lee County has had this game marked on their schedule since it was set. This game I believe will become bigger than the Harlan County/Letcher County game.

 

Lee had two scores called back on them against Mboro and also fumbled the ball once into the endzone in which Mboro recovered for a touchback. Blackbear fans, we have to go over in large numbers Friday night to root our boys on because this game will be a tough, tough game.

We need to be out in full force friday night giving all the help we can for the Bears. After talking to the staff today it seems as though the Bears have had the injury bug bite them pretty good. I didn't realize it but we played without several starters last friday night and it appears even more will be out this week. Hope all get well as fast as possible, however this is an excellent opportunity for a lot of kids to step up and meet the challenge. With only about 20 minutes or so to Lee, I am expecting a lot of good food before the game. We had around 75 at Lynn Camp so I am expecting at least 100 friday night. GO BEARS!
