I just wasted 37 seconds of my life. Now Obama is sexist?

Not an Obama fan in the slightest, but the expression he used is a very common one. I have used it myself many times in the past and never once meant it as a sexist remark.

If Obama meant that as a sexist remark (which he didn't), it would have been the worst political blunder in history.

Did they really release that ad?

I hate to defend Obama but this is definitely a nothing story. Just bad timing. Palin makes her hockey mom / pit bull remark a week ago and Obama says this.

Bad timing or innuendo? In politics (both sides) you have to wonder.

It wasn't sexist at all, just as "community organizer" isn't a code word for black. These campaigns are wasting way too much time on fluff.

I agree, they should not have run this ad.

If he had any brains he would never have made the comment. He had to have heard Palin the week before watching the RNC. This was a dumb thing for him to say. Almost everytime he doesn't have a scripted speech in front of him, he sticks his foot in his mouth. No one on here knows what his intention was when he said it, but the simple fact is - he said it, and the association is being made. This add will make a lot of women mad at Obama.

And for the record, that comment wasn't even about Palin, it was about McCain's economic policies compared to Bush's. Just another sad smear attempt.

Doesn't matter, he should have been smarter than that in the first place. It was too soon after Palin's comment about lipstick and it will anger some women voters. He needs to think things through a little better.

Are you kidding?
