These ranking are absolutely a joke. Whoever made these ranking must be in kindergarten and probably wrote them with glue and macaroni. They have Johnson Central ranked as 13th. in 5A, after every team they have played are top district contenders. Scrimmages such as Raceland (who destroyed Ashland), Pikeville (who should have destroyed Ashland but had problems with holding onto the ball.), Bell Co. Along with reglular season games such as: Breathitt County, and St. Thomas More (2x Defending Canadian Natl. Champs).

Highlands #7???? They are much better than that. No team in KY would have beaten Colerain, much less compete for a half without their best player.

It is a difference by score formula. So for example The Tigers beat the Dogs 35-0 and the Sharks beat the Dogs 21-14 the Tigers will be rated higher than the Sharks.

 

I would have to think there is a starting number used based on last season, class, and other aspects but I don't know the details and I don't think they are public.

I was agreeing with you on your first couple of sentences, and then you lost all credibility with me. First of all, Raceland beat Ashland in OT, so I wouldn't call that destroyed. Secondly, Ashland spanks Pikeville to the tune of 47-0, but Pikeville should have won? C'mon now. Are you trying to get a job with Litkenhous? :lol::lol:

Ashland was 2-8 last season. They lost to Raceland 19-16 in OT week one, and beat Pikeville 47-0 in week 2. How in the world could that possibly translate into that many points?

St.X is a 39.8 favorite over Lex.Cath. this week, that's seems like a lot of points to give.

Skunk, I agree the LIT ratings are a joke and that Highlands should be ranked in the 3 to 5 range.....but I take issue with your statement that no team in Ky would have competed with Colerain for a half without their best player. I think Lou X and T would compete with Colerain for an entire game. How do you think Male would compete against Colerain given you did have your best player for the first half in your scrimmage against them?
